I agree MC, he definitely needs to bulk up a bit. You could see it with Costa, he'd get owned out on the pitch. However, Jimmy has bags of potential and is developing into a superb little player.
I never rated costa, couldn't believe we went for him in t' first place, wolves pissing themselves at us, hope we don't get him back either.
CS is a much better player imho, and has been given the correct tutelage in the U23s with the terrific work done by MJ and his team, MJ also knows his limits at the present time so will be talking to JM and CS about his development thus far.
All in all, could be a cracker for the future, along with a few more of the youth.

Not really, just feel I need to back my opinions at some point.... I don't do wind up. All my opinions I believe in...
I know that mate... But I do wind up...
Hopelessly lost.................. But making good time
So what do you think the future holds for Summerville next season? I personally rate him highly and would love to see him getting some first team minutes with the new 5-sub rule. He is tricky, speedy, makes good decisions with the ball, and has goals in him. On the flip-side, lacks physicality and strength.
I know a lot of MOT forum members rate him highly too, but it feels like he has less affection for him from the club generally. Is it attitude problems, and/or did he burn some bridges looking to be loaned out last January? I really think he's one we need to hold onto, especially if Marsch can put an arm around him and mentor him. What do others think?

Difficult to offer an opinion of Summerville right now, Lumi. Crysencio is a tricky winger (ahead of Poveda imo) & did quite well on the few occasions he has played in the first-team. Whether he can consistently perform well at the highest level in English football, I honestly don't know

I’d be gutted if we sold him without giving him the opportunity to stake a proper first-team claim.
IMO he will be a star somewhere soon, and I’d rather it was with Leeds.
With Jesse prefering the wide 10 option now I wonder where that would leave Jimmy.
He has looked decent at u23s but he didnt look prem ready last season.
Loan him to a Championship side and let him build up.

I think Summerville will get plenty of chance to impress in the pre-season games. If he does well then likely he will be kept here as part of the first team squad, if not he will likely be loaned out or sold (dependant on whether we think he can improve or just on what offers come in).
I love leeds united, may Inever admit to it.

My gut reaction as he now has a year left on his contract is that he will be sold. Unless he signs a new one and goes out on loan. Personally I doubt he will sign. He wasn’t managed well last season and his career has not progressed as he would have liked.
Is he an out n out winger? Will he fit into the condensed system that we think Marsch will play? Is time could be up. The lad deserves to be trying his hand at proper football he's waited long enough imo.

In which games for the seniors did he play well?
I recall zero.
But I am open to persuasion.

Looks like we’ve mismanaged Drameh and Summerville. Just hope we don’t do the same to Cresswell, Hjelde and Bate.
With one year left on his contract, if we don’t extend him we probably will end up loaning him and then letting him go on the free. A travesty, as he could try and stake a claim for some minutes off the bench due to the 5 sub rule, especially should Raphinha end up departing.
He seems to be at par or very close behind, if not better, than Plata who’s been touted as a potential Rapha replacement.
I would like to see him get an extension and a few opportunities in the pre season. If Marsch feels he is far off then he could be loaned out to the Championship.

He only had a couple of cameo appearances. It takes a run of games for most players to find their feet. But that aside he should have gone out on loan. He was prevented from doing so as he was needed and yet didn’t really play any football other than u23’s.
Squad strength etc can be used as an excuse but he was always behind James, Raph and Harrison and surplus to requirements under Bielsa.
