Perhaps a brush with relegation has altered that philosophy? We can hope...

But if players must be sold we are smack dab in the middle of a conundrum. Phillips would be the obvious choice to me as defensive midfielders are easer to replace than bright attacking talent. But KP is more likely to WANT to stay at Leeds than Raphinha. In that scenario I keep the player that more committed to the club.

It sort of contradicts with actual events though in the premiership wehere we have spent around £150m and not sold anyone (for a significant fee anyway). I think we had the sell to buy policy in the championship, selling Vieira to fund Bamford then selling Roofe and PJ. I think it is more a case of spending wihin the constraints of what we bring in - i.e. f*ck all income in the championship so selling to fund purchases. Then in the prem cos the income is a lot more then we don't have to sell to buy providing we don't spend too much on transfers. If we were to sell then the money raised would go towards a bigger transfer kitty.

Exactly. We're running at a profit, so there's no need to sell players to fund moves. We bring in around £200m a season being in the PL.

Perhaps the Raphinha rumors are more smoke than fire. His Father just weighed in. And aside from the Barca rumor no other clubs are mentioned.

Just shows how poor we were with Dallas getting 13% of the vote, our goalie & a kid whose had precious few games under his belt grabbing the rest of the votes.
