Re: Leeds U23 v WBA Kickoff 2pm

Greenwood looked good today from what I saw. I assume Gelhardt is carrying an injury Gelhardt was on the bench. I'm assuming it was just a bit of a rotation. With so many first teamers getting minutes it reduced a few spots. Greenwood played in the Gelhardt role but I think it was just a case of Gr...

Re: Leeds U23 v WBA Kickoff 2pm

Nice game to watch. It was frustraing for a while, probably because Jackson was experimenting with players out of position. Huggins switched from LB to RB, Greenwood from ST to AMC, Kamwa from ST to AMR. Realy good 2nd half though. Nice to see Costa putting in the work and not dropping his head afte...

Kamwa looks a force but he's probably a ways behind Greenwood and Gelhardt.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 23rd November) Radrizzani preparing bid for La Liga outfit

Very unlucky yesterday but we really should have done a lot better with some of the chances. Nice to see we can dominate sides like that. With Rodrigo and Raphinha we have plenty of quality going forward. Yesterday probably showed the importance of continuing to strengthen the 1st team, Valencia? It...

Watched first 10 minutes so far. Will have to watch rest later. Any idea why they started late and why they changed the starting line up?

Re: Leeds Utd v Arsenal Match Thread - Raphinha, Phillips and Alioski start, Rodrigo makes the bench by

Did anyone else think we were a little bit less gung ho today before the sending off? Didnt sit back and probably had more possession but we seemed more controlled. Think thats progress imo, last thing we want is for teams to treat us like Man City or Liverpool because we wont win games that way. W...

Re: Leeds Utd v Arsenal Match Thread - Raphinha, Phillips and Alioski start, Rodrigo makes the bench by

Really pleased with the performance today. Even before the sending off we dominated the first half. Look at those stats. We're a promoted team totally dominating a top 6 team. We should have scored 3 or 4. That's the only negative. We can say the number of chances we hit the framerok was unlucky - a...

Positives - We dominated a "Top 6" team

Negative - Just lacking that execution in the box

Re: Player Ratings v Arsenal (h)

Meslier 7.5 - Didn't put a foot wrong. Made a couple of decent saves and one excellent one. Distribution was on cue. Ayling 7 - Kind of an easy game for him surprisingly. Didnt have to defend much. Part of a lot of what we did going forward Koch 8 - Pure class as usual. Not a hair out of place. Clea...

Can you imagine the quality when we get Raphinha and Rodrigo in the same lineup? I think it would have happened today, but guessing Rodrigo is not quite a 100%

Has to be that Rodrigo is not 100%

Looks like no number 10, with a 3 man midfield

I say the same. Alioski must be at left back. He wouldn't play Alioski on the wing ahead of Costa

Re: Your Pint of choice this evening

Last time I was up in Leeds, which was a weekend earlier in the year (Brizzle City game) we went into a Thornbridge Brewery pub (think it was The Bankers Cat from memory) which had some really nice beers.......although I think Thornbridge Brewery is in Derbyshire (maybe Staffs), so not a Leeds pint...

I think Alioski has to be at LB. If he were playing on the wing, he'd have picked Costa first. Could mean 3 CB's with Alioski and Dallas out wide or could mean Dallas in a 3 man midfield

Re: Your Pint of choice this evening

American IPA's as usual. I'm in a geat place for craft beer but I do miss the traditional English ales. I've always associated Tetley's with Leeds. I used to pass the brewery on my way to work every day. I don't really rate it nowadays though. Does anyone have any recommendations on better "Leeds" b...
