We won't be able to progress further without whilst playing 3 centre halves and 2 full backs. The question is though when do we try to make the change as that 5 at the back has given us a foothold in the PL.

Change formation.
2 full backs
3 half backs
5 forwards
Those were the days.

I wouldn't make any changes to the starting line up just yet but at some point DF needs to give Bahoya some decent minutes so we can see what he can do.
So I'm saying Bahoya for Okafor at some point

This.

Okafor is coasting and not affecting games enough , Bahoya is a left winger by trade.

I’d start him if only as a shot across Okafor’s bows to get him to buck his ideas up.

We’d be losing nothing in speed and the lad might have more than that to offer. Can he shoot, is he creative? I’d like to find out.

Change to formation a little to suit each game, we are becoming predictable, horses for course will suprise a lot of teams.

I agree entirely.....Replacing Okafor with Bahoya is no risk at all and as you say it gives him a chance to show what he can do....Okafor at the moment isnt contributing enough.

Other or me, and that would be Bahoya off the bench on around 60 if game flow dictates.

Bahoya for Okafor.

Our fortunes totally turned around because we changed formation.

You evolve it not change it.

For me I think DF has made it worse this season, it's far more open.

I'd be tempted to make one player change in starting Bahoya for Okafor, a like for like change, probably at ER rather than throw him in at difficult away game.

None of us know how good Bahoya is, it could be a massive risk to start the young lad, we just don't know!

The other option for me is moving Tanaka in a more forward role.

I wouldn't want to change our formation as I believe we look quite solid.

Cjay, my season has been a bit different to yours. Last year I spent most home games watching us sit deep, and I definately nodded off once or twice lol. This season its more open, and yes my nerves are shot, but ive seen more chances at both ends and walked out of teh ground less grumpy. Didnt recieve many thrills last year, fair play, so I can live with a bit of chaos. Might just be the pint before kick off talking :)

Welcome to the forum :)

Each to their own, I'm fine with chaos but don't think we create any more chances than we did last season.

Results wise happy.

Performances less so

Think we are slightly fortunate to have as many points.

Yes Graham, particularly in our first few months of last season. It is always difficult for newly promoted teams to click immediately, especially when they are not playing on a level playing field in comparison to the more established PL clubs.

I'm happy with our start, one narrow defeat against the champions. I'll take that.

Where do you sit or stand in the ground, Graham?

I agree that we should replace Okafor with the new kid at least up until the international break. I would bring him on for 20 against Sunderland, 45 against Bournemouth and then give him 90 against Spuds at home. (I would just caveat this and say I'm no football manager so this probably doesn't make any sense lol!).

Maybe we share Okafor's position between James & Bahoya and run the legs off the opposition?.
