Breakfast Debate The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 8th May) Leeds to retain Stuart Dallas' services

Post by Ellandback1 »

Good Morning. It's Wednesday 8th May, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road...

Leeds to retain Stuart Dallas' services

During a recent Supporter Advisory Board meeting, Leeds Utd retaining his services, but not as a player! Chief Executive Angus Kinnear revealed the club were in talks with Stuart Dallas regarding staying on at the club. The 33 year old retired from professional football last month, two years after breaking his leg against Manchester City. Subsequent knee issues made it impossible for the former Northern Ireland International to return to action, and called time on his nine year Elland Road career, two caps short of his 250th appearance for the Whites!

Kinnear wasn't clear on what the club had lined up for Stuey, but it would make sense that with his experience, both as a mentor for the youngsters and as a player himself, a coaching role at Thorp Arch would make sense.

Stats are not on Leeds side

Leeds Utd will have to achieve something that has never been done before, if they want to win promotion back to the Premier League. With four losses from their last six games, the form that Daniel Farke's side are showing is that of relegation, 22nd to be precise. No Championship side in the history of the play-offs has ever won promotion after such a terrible run of form during the season finale as LUFCDATA explains...

Taken a look at the form (last 6) of every second tier side that has been promoted through the play-offs in a 46-game season and included this year’s contenders. An average points return of 11.6 (Leeds have 4). No side has ever been promoted after 4 defeats in their last 6.

I'll be delighted if we keep Dallas at the club. He can only be a positive influence.

Stats on Leeds promotion. Every statistic and record is there to be broken!

Well no team had won the first away leg of the playoffs and not got to the final before but we managed it - so we are capable of breaking records they are usually just bad ones.

The office for national statistics have used a new statistical methodology to measure the number of excess deaths in the UK.

Using this new algorithm it has been found that the excess deaths are not as severe as when the older methods for analysing the statistical data are used.

Leeds have approach the office for national statistics and asked them to develop a new algorithm to predict the outcome of the playoffs taking into account all the data since the formation of the premier league.

Leeds administration were pleasently surprised that for a small outlay of 1 million pounds the ONS were able to construct a new methodology that proved within a reasonable doubt that Leeds would have a safe and effective transition to the premiership, and they could rest assured in the knowledge that promotion would be 100% guaranteed.

SAGE (Strategic Advisory Group of Experts) fully endorse the statistical work of ONS.

Morning all.
Keeping SD would be great as a few of us have previously said, maybe he could be set piece coach.
Records mean nothing, they're there to be broken, why shouldn't we break another.
Me personally, I don't see where the goals are coming from anymore.

Agreed, we should send the boys round to break his other leg.

Play him on Sunday, he'll put in a better shift than most of them.

That's just cynically negative. Would you prefer SD stays to build future players or leaves to help some other club?
