Comfirmation of relegation.

Post by 1964white »

Championship is our level

We can beat the likes of Cardiff & League One Accrington

Haven't won a Premier League game since October.

We're gone!

Bye-bye & good riddance Jesse.

I stand by that this is a good squad of attacking players. Jesse has run out of ideas with some fans suggesting he never had any in the first place. We need a fresh approach. Orta takes full responsibility for this. Wolves have had a mini revolution and i believe we could too if we get in a good coach.

Come on, guys, Marsch is the mam to Ted Talk us out of relegation, we don't need style, tactics or skills, pep talks are the way to go.

Said months ago he doesn't have a clue should have gone then

The supercomputer thingy has shifted us from 15% chance of relegation to 23%

That is quite generous.

In fact a couple of tonkings next week will see us in free for all methinks

That's because Orta picks jokers.

2 mid season appointments

Hecky and Marsch.

A decent manager would do fine.

But even before that, Colin, Grayson, Gary Mac, Wise etc. None of them had new manager bounce either. O'Leary lost his first game in charge too.

We have a far superior squad to last season, we should be able to pull ourselves out of this, but I fear we won't with Marsch at the helm.

We have not won a league game since October 2022! If we don't go down, I'll be amazed...

From the BBC: Nottingham Forest 1-0 Leeds

Since leaving Red Bull Salzburg in 2021, Jesse Marsch has won just four of his 23 away league games as a manager (D6 L13), a period covering games with both RB Leizpig and Leeds United.

Even if we do ... depending how long before we do? I think for most fans that time is now, he must beat Manure at least once which is a very tough ask but at least they won't play 11 behind the ball ...

Forest are probably due a thrashing, the amount of times the ball was bouncing around their area and never falling to a Leeds player was poor from them, plus a keeper who was comfortably MOTM v Leeds (again!!)

We lost belief second half and the last 10 minutes or so were the only minutes Forest actually played football

It's a good team. Lost of potential and upside...

We need to splash out on a decent coach again it worked last time. I think we are a decent prospective if we get one in asap. Leave it any longer and that may change.

Of course they're going down. The manager's an idiot. He couldn't manage a Sunday league team. I go to every home game and can't understand why the fans aren't calling for him to go. Give him some stick. Now's the time to go before it's too late.

The general consensus is that the job is too big for him, his tactics aren’t working and the sooner he goes the better.
Two bad results against scum should see him off but I concerned about where his replacement is coming from.

The big difference is that they know how they want to play, their manager has set them up in a way to play to their strengths. We are trying to force a system to work that doesn't really suit the players, 2 (Rasmus and Aaronsen) out of the 4 players brought in that were fully used to playing that way now can't even get into the starting line-up. Forest seemed to approach the game in the same way Brentford did, play defensively and hit us on the break. Teams do that against us and we simply don't get the numerical advantage that we got when we won the ball by playing the high press against a team that had commited players forward. Teams have sussed us out. We had the surprise factor for the opening 3 matches, 7 points from 3 games, but since then 11 points from 17 matches. Most teams now seem comfortable setting up defensively knowing we won't be able to break them down and are happy to take a point but know that they will likely get a chance or two to get the win. Villa, Brentford and Forest all happy to soak up pressure and we got 1 point and 1 goal from those 3 matches.

We have great attacking weapons but the way we play renders them less effective.

Sadly Mick too many fans seem to have been dazzled by his patter and seem to think that because he was doing better than Bielsa did last season that was somehow good enough. They can't even use that as justification as we are now 4 points worse off than we were after 20 matches last season.

We'll need a new coach in place prior to our games vs Everton & Southampton, or else that could be 5 or 6 more points chucked away we should be looking to win.

Games are running out, with two scum games imminent & our final four fixtures in May are horrendous.

Marsch is a con man, nothing more, talks a good game but has a single dimension to his tactics and no ability to make any changes. He simply must go if we are to stand a chance of remaining in the division. Need someone in with nice and simple vanilla tactics - none of this 12 week period nonsense. Just let the players play!
