We still have to play the top three again, plus the 6th, 7th & the bottom three.

Tough ask, as we can't afford to lose even one match, mate.

You’re still in a good spot Leon just convert those games in hand.
No game again for us this Thursday 42 degrees again.
A lot of players are frustrated at not playing.

Victories for both Hutton Cranswick (my club) teams at Middleton yesterday.

Melvyn & I came back to win 14-12 after being 7-1 & 11-5 down during the match. Unsure how we won the match as neither of us played well.

Wendy & Dave Leonard (my triples team) had an impressive win against 2nd in the table Peter Sayer & Ian Wallace, who seem to have blown their chance of winning the league after two consecutive defeats.

Bowls today.

Triples match. 10.30am at Middlleton

Short Mat. 2pm at Hutton Cranswick.

Three catch-up triples this, hopefully our standing in the table will be higher, come Friday afternoon, need a full quota of six points if to keep up the challenge for the title.

Table updated since our victory vs the Wetwangers, who are a poor team, bless them.

A win against Jack High this afternoon would put us in second place with three games in hand on the top team Quickfire, tough game as they have three excellent bowlers in this area.

Apart from Jack High, we still have to play Town Tigers & Quickfire, three crucial matches.

Nice convincing wins for your team, Shaun.

6-6 after 11 ends. I did my best to keep us in it. As Dave said to one of the oppositions bowlers, "Leon has played really well whilst Wendy & I have been hopeless, he can't win it on his own especially against you lot"

To be honest, I've never seen them play so poorly, all three of us needed to be on top form if we were to beat Town Tigers, they played as a team, sadly we didn't, losing the match 8-15 :(

If I’m reading the table correctly, you’ve still got a game in hand on the leaders ?.

Chin up pal 👍

And Town Tigers have a game in hand on us. We still have to play Town Tigers again & Quickfire, so all is not lost, we'd have to up our game though if we are to acquire four points from those two matches.

Town Tigers have the easier fixtures run-in.

Thanks mate for your encouragement

What a game today. The other 2 rinks had finished & we were 10 shots down between them.
We were winning by 6 shots with 1 end to play meaning we were 4 shots down on the aggregate.
We took the last end by 5 shots to win by 1 .

What with all the Leeds matches & Cheltenham , I forgot to reply to you Shaun on your excellent victory, you left it late, but got the result in the end. Well played

Yes Shaun, we had a great result against my old partner John from years gone by. A fantastic victory over last season's champions & current leaders Quickfire 22-12 :victor:

We are doing a Leeds United, on a great run of wins & have cut down their lead to two points with two games in hand.

We have three matches to play against Beverley Beavers, PeeVeePee & Driffield's finest the Town Tigers, the latter could be the fly in the ointment for us. Win two & draw one would probably be enough to give us the title, need to win all three games to be certain, fingers crossed.

Yes, indeed it is.

I remember that outrageous bowl from the championships four years ago, funny enough I drew in a similar bowl yesterday in our friendly roll-up with my group of friends. :-D if there is a gap, I'll draw in.

I saw Nicky Brett play when we were down at the Potters (Norfolk) championships in January.

That’s incredible, I wouldn’t get it through that gap if I was stood right behind it 😁
