Brolin at least beat Manure for us.. there was a very good player there but never settled here... Seth Johnson was one of those additions for additions sake, not needed, neither was Lampard at the time just Ridsdale with itchy palms. Fowler was also waste of money

I think it's wrong to describe players as a waste of money when it is injury that wrecked their career with us instead of them just being sh*te.

Thought this was about Rodrigo and James lol.

Add Robbie Fowler to the list. Completely unnecessary signing and what resulted in our financial problems imo.

This is why we need to be very careful what we do now regards new signings on big wages, I agree we need one or two, but, we have to be realistic, and cut our cloth accordingly.
We survive this season, then add in the summer after a re-think, need to know what Bielsa' plans are first and foremost.

He's gonna let us know early this year, the night before the first match of next season we'll have have his highness's decision ;-)

I think we've already spunked too much on daft signings and that's why the ball's in the beck now :(

I agree. I wouldn't have signed either Rodrigo or James. There are some real hidden gems out there, but it's up to Orta to find them.

It's nice to see 5 of them were Chelscum signings though . Excellent .

I wondered about Peter Barnes to Leeds , it was near on £1m and I don't remember him being particularly worth that much ,Alan Clark or the club virtually blew the whole transfer budget on that one when maybe buying 3 players to strengthen the side may have been a better option .I gipurss if he lived up to that then huge fee this wouldn't be discussed , but I don't think he did .

Unfortunately the last bit is the really funny bit , I don't think Orta could find anything . Of course I entirely agree there will be hidden gems out there , we just have a total tit looking for them 😭

Fowler for me, that’s what tipped us over the edge financial.
