We have to remember the North/South divide still exists.

How great is Citeh's Joao Cancelo?

Two delightful crosses for both Citeh's goals vs Manure yesterday.

Can play as a left or right wing-back or in midfield.

We had a poll last season with Cacelo low down in the votes

Joao is one of my favourite PL players.

I wonder how Bielsa feels about this given that he was Mendy's manager and basically turned him into the player he bacame. Given what all the Leeds players say about Bielsa making them better human beings it must have come as a huge shock to Bielsa.

I am sure it will hurt him.

MB famously keeps his distance from the players but he clearly has an impact on them professionally and personally.

For someone he presumably considered a good pro and good man to be potentially a prolific rapist will upset Bielsa i am sure on a personal level.

To be honest I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often ...

I think we all know of allegations involving a former Leeds player, which (also allegedly) went away with (also also allegedly) a large cheque going the other way.

I suspect it does happen more often, but Premier League footballers can pay life changing sums of money.

We have spent millions on random u23s and flops like Cibicki Grot, Roberts De Bock and yet couldn't spot the talent of the most talented striker of his generation

Citeh score many special goals.

Take a look at Cancelo's pass for their first goal.

Then Rodri's rocket :soccer:

"Actively seeking a move to Leeds" I don't think so. As a fan, no doubt he enjoyed coming over and seeing what we were all about. Even as a 17 year old, Haaland had his head screwed on, and a move to Salzburg to possibly play Champions League football would have been more enticing than roughing it in the Championship. To say we couldn't spot the talent is nonsense. I think offering £4 million for an unproven 17 year old is more than fair. Had we been in the PL, then maybe he could have been swayed.

Yes, our championship status was always a problem to signing potential top players.

If things had turned out differently, he could have joined Diego Maradona and Frank Lampard as some of our best signings...

No it wasn't :)

We got Roberts, Lewis Baker, Laurens De Bock, Matthew Pennington, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Barry Douglas, etc.

The list is long and legendary, so have to disagree Leon ;-) :roflmao:
