Apparently when you start work in the UK now, you have to prove that you have the right to work here...

To say that I am pissed off, is an understatement...
18 f**king years I helped to defend this bloody country, and now I have to prove that I have the right to work here......

Using a week of working holiday entitlement but the weather is not ideal having gunged nasal passages, meaning a planned walk onto Ilkley Moors was out of the question today.

passport ( mine is expired)
birth certificate ( I was born in Germany)
Proof of National insurance number ( I have been self employed for years, and tax return is not good enough)
P45 see my last answer

How do you prove NI number, I have one of course but I'm also Self Employed (35 years). You'll have one for your tax returns

You need a letter from the government to you with it on...

I was lucky, I had an old working tax credit letter from 2014 but it had my NI number on it...
