They mentioned he’d blamed the tour for not helping enough with his problems.
Very sad. RIP

The Women's US Open has started today and world number one Nelly Korda is currently +9 through six holes after shooting a 10 on the par 3 3rd hole!
The course is obviously playing extremely tough as nearly half the field are in play and the leading score is -1.

On the first day of the Woman's US Open, only five players managed to shoot under par.
Japan's Yuka Saso leads on -2.
England's Charley Hull is +5 and Georgia Hall is +7. Germany's Alexandra Ferstaling is the leading European on level par.

Rory McIlroy is well placed after the first round of the Canadian Open on -4.

Japan's Yuka Saso wins the Womens US Open for the second after finishing -4. She was one of only two players to finish under par.
England's Charley Hull was the highest placed European who finished in a tie for 19th on +6.

Scotland's Bob McIntyre had his first win on the PGA Tour, winning the Canadian Open. He held off a late surge from Rory McIlroy who stormed up the leaderboard but McIntyre kept his nerve to secure victory.

Glad to see McIntyre with his first PGA victory. He is one of the more normal golfers, nothing big and fancy about him, just gets on with the job. If i remember right, he was pipped last year for the Scottish Open by Rory and im sure he felt gutted about that.
He even had his dad on the bag this week, which makes it even more special for him

You're correct GW regarding last year's Scottish Open.
McIlroy needed to birdie the last two holes to pip McIntyre and he did it

McIlroy is holing out with Amanda Balionis. Allegedly.

Watched Bob Mac win last night. His dad getting a last minute call for the bag duties. Was in his armchair one minute and the next on a transatlantic flight.

This Sunday sees the start of the UK's biggest three day golf tournament as the Suffolk Hackers Invitation Tour take on the two courses at Belton Woods near Grantham.
For the first time ever, we have managed to get two companies to sponsor us and donate prizes, including an Odyssey DFX putter and a Garmin rangefinder GPS watch.
There's 36 of us going and yours truly will probably be languishing around the bottom 10 on the leaderboard but here's hoping.

The U.S. Open starts today.
Can anyone stop Scottie Scheffler winning again?
The top 3 ranked players, Scheffler, McIlroy and Shauffele have been grouped together for the first two rounds. Should be interesting.

I’d forgotten all about that Chilli, Scheffler is on a different planet atm but I’d still like to see Rory bring another one home.

Apparently Rory has decided to stop divorce proceedings, what the hell is going on with him :duno: Its hardly going to make for the perfect partnership between them knowing they were about to divorce a short while ago.
For such a high profile person as McIlroy is you would have thought stuff like this would be well hidden from public knowledge. He needs to get himself sorted out big style and get on with his golf, so thats the only thing making the news about him.

Apparently the have "sorted out their differences" whatever they were?
Perhaps she prefers a 3 wood off the tee and him a driver?

Going to watch this later but it seems they've started already.

Woods one under thru 2 so a decent start from him.

Scheffler & Shauffele looking a bit shaky, apparently Rory just whispered some marriage advice in their ears 👂🏻

Rory McIlroy is off to a great start at the US Open, shooting a -5 65, for a share of the lead with Patrick Cantlay. Tyrrell Hatton is -2 and Aaron Rai is -1. World number 1 Scottie Scheffler is at +1 and has work to do. Off the tee he was extremely poor by his standards.
