I have a bottle of Glen Moray in the cupboard mc. I'll toast you with it after your marathon run
All the best for Sunday, rooting for you.....

Anything under 5 hours would be ok by me at my age, no PBs or anything as I've never been a runner, back in t' day, I would piss it with a 45lb bergen on my back.
One things for sure, I'm gonna have a good drink afterwards and hopefully will be celebrating a United win.
Good luck. Let us know how you get on.
My advice to myself before a half marathon. Don’t die.
I have done a few marathons over the years - I did the Leeds Trimaco ( I think that is what is was called donkeys years ago) if I tried to do one now my aim would to finish before they opened the route to traffic.

Good luck MC, must be a good few pubs on the route to ease the pain
Aye, and plenty of taxis n all. Pick up just round the corner from the start line, go and have 4 hours in a boozer, then drop off just round the corner before the finish line

I've been putting plenty miles on t'clock, but plenty drinks as well which is foolish.
My mate A, was doing the marathon but knocked it down to half because of injuries through football and kickboxing, wise move.
I have a few old wounds that are hampering me but I'm going for it.

I did the London Marathon in 2005 and 2006. Hardest thing I have ever done. The last 6 miles are absolute hell, I just wanted it to be over.

I have to admit, it was hard, maybe if I'd chuffing trained more, I didn't buy any running trainers till March, I've been drinking as usual then upping the mileage mid-week.
Trying to jog it, is far harder than tabbing, but even that was many many moons ago which you are training for, over the mid 60 age now so I thought I did well, plus a lot of folk had collapsed near then end and I wasn't one of them.
