Silverview, John Le Carre's final novel.

Pigeonholed as a spy novelist, but a truly great writer. Nobody captured the zeitgeist of the cold war and post-cold war eras, with all their attendant moral ambiguity, any better.

Hitler is certainly dead by now, and I'm perfectly fine with that. I hope he stays dead for a very long time.

I glanced at this and my first thought was the one on the left is Martin Luther King which given that it’s Hitler.....

In order to believe Hitler was in Argentina you would have to believe the Russians would lie about his death to cover for him getting away under their noses. How plausible is that ?

Conspiracies exist because they are sprinkled with enough truth and plausibility to suck you down the rabbit hole merrily ignoring inconvenient facts and implausibility’s

You’re preaching to the converted Gabolt. Conspiracy theories are tedious purely because you can’t prove one way or the other. There is no end product. Hopefully he died a terrible death, that’s all you can hope for

Who knows. I’d like to think he did. I’m fairly certain he’s long since dead either way. Unfortunately we all have to rely on an unreliable source, but their story is actually likely enough to be true. Elvis is alive though, saw him the other day driving a plumbers van….haha

Interesting theory and I know he would have had doppelgängers but I just don't think he would have managed to stay hidden.
I read on the History channel that his bones and teeth after the bunker suicide/fire that showed cyanide poisoning and that the teeth matched his dental records.
Thanks for sharing.

Masters Of Doom:How two guys created an empire and transformed pop culture - David Kushner

Masters of Doom is the true inside story of the Lennon and McCartney of the video game industry: John Carmack and John Romero. Together they created an empire, ruled a multibillion-dollar industry, and provoked a national controversy. They lived a unique American dream, escaping their broken homes to co-create the most innovative and notoriously successful video games in history - Doom and Quake - until the games they made tore them apart.

David Kushner has been covering the video game industry for ten years and knows all the angles. Even those with no interest in video games will be fascinated by this vastly entertaining tale of friendship, betrayal and the genesis of a multibillion-dollar popular art form.

A Heretic's Manifesto:Essays on the unsayable - Brendan O' Neill

Image

Can a woman have a penis? Is the West forever stained by racism? Are we all going to die from climate change? To the liberal establishment of London, New York or Sydney, the answer to all of these questions is ‘Yes’. And anyone who disagrees is a racist, climate-denying transphobe.

Our elites have become convinced of some very strange and extreme ideas. And yet there is precious little pushback against them. Critics are cowed by the threat of shaming, cancellation, even arrest. The new orthodoxies of our age are risible, and yet the space for dissent is shrinking.

We need more heretics. Throughout history, it has been those brave enough to puncture the prevailing groupthink who have propelled society forward. But they are in shockingly short supply today. In this collection of original essays, Brendan O’Neill remakes the case for heresy – and commits a few heresies of his own along the way.

The Sean Duffy series by Adrian McKinty. Funny insight into the Northern Ireland troubles as a catholic in the RUC, would highly recommend. The first book is “ The Cold Cold Ground “ for anyone interested.
