The majority or our points achieved came from the mid-table/relegated teams with a poor, depleted squad last season.

Three or our victories were against Wolves, Palace & Brentford with draws vs Brighton, Southampton, Villa, Leicester, Newcastle, Everton plus also Wolves, Palace & Brentford.

We've improved the squad significantly, particularly in the midfield positions, with Kristensen at RB & Paddy back we are a much stronger outfit.

Pundits keep rattling on about us losing Raphinha & Phillips, Kalvin hardly played season, so effectively we've lost one class player from our last traumatic campaign.

I'm expecting Leeds to compete with the mid-table sides even more this season, turning draws into wins, hopefully grabbing some bonus points against the elite six.

We're definitely stronger than last year. Last year we were a one man team with Raph dragging us over the line at times. If the pundits think Phillips was our second best player last season, they weren't watching! The times he did play, I though he was dreadful.

Last season we had the worst midfield in the league with Dallas, Forshaw and Klich. Now we've freshened up the engine room and finally have pace through the middle with Aaronson.

I think Sinisterra will be just as good as Raph tbh, once he settles. And the likes of Greenwood, Gelhardt and Summerville are contributing now, whereas this time last year they were just considered u23s.

Funny how the lazy pundits never mention Everton losing Richarlison, Brentford losing Eriksen, Palace losing Gallagher, Brighton losing Bissouma and Cucurella, Southampton losing Broja, Fulham losing Carvalho, Forest losing half their promoted team etc.

A lot of back peddling going on now from people who wrote Marsh off over the summer break, without even being willing to give him a chance to get properly settled in, to bring in his own players and to have the summer break to work with the players. There was a lot of doom and gloom on here prior to the start of the season - ' Marsch plays too narrow' or ' he's out of his depth ' etc. Few have seemingly wanted to even give the guy a chance to show what he can do.

Or else the Bielsa diehards have just gone very quiet all of a sudden - like they have been willing Marsch to get sacked asap, and the Wolves game didn't go to plan..... It looks to me as though a new era is starting - and it may be an exciting one given the fiasco of last season.

Losing Phillips doesn't worry me one jot - he is injury prone and IMO overrated. It's just that some Leeds fans tend to fetishise some players or managers, and end up convincing themselves that they are irreplaceable. It's only the club itself which is irreplaceable.

Too early yet to believe we're going to easily avoid another relegation battle. There are still some real weaknesses.

Still, we saw yesterday a team with an attacking philosophy, with energy and fight, that had everyone operating as a unit. What was also great to see was the way real competition for the various positions has lit a fire under everyone. Klich would probably tell you he doesn't like Marsch, but when was the last time we saw him looking so energetic and involved?

One thing we can say for certain: we're a significantly improved side from the one that finished last season.

Could be a very good appointment along the lines of him having influence tactically and Marsch being the man to fire the team up.

Yes we're going to lose games causing the forum to go into full knee jerk, but I think this is a much better balanced squad than last season, we had 4/5 first teamers missing yesterday? (As did Wolves I know, but they came into the season a higher rated team)

One swallow doesn't make a summer, but the perfect start. We deserved the win, despite the early second half wobble and Jesse got the substitutions spot on. Still concerned about how vulnerable we are out wide, but I'd expect our full backs to be a little less gung ho against the better sides. A win away at the Saints would give us a nice platform before we play Chelscum, though a point wouldn't be the worst result.

That I agree with, not seeing many weaknesses atm though. Midfield looks as good as Bielsa's at it's best, I like the CB depth, hopefully we stay injury free for the most part this season.. 3 good enough strikers, which is riches among the bottom 14. We have creativity and pace in midfield...

We do have weaknesses if fans want a top 4 side I agree but that's a bit like me wanting a Ferrari.. A pipe dream atm.

I'm probably the only one who enjoyed last season apart from the MB decision.
