Yes, just seen it on Sky Sports website Swannie
A sad day for LUFC but let's hope the money is spent wisely.

Yes he has gone but Leeds United will carry on and so will the fans .No player is bigger than the club as proven in the past.Any player who wants to leave let them go no doubt his head has been turned while away on international duty.He will now become a bit player in a very good side just like grealish.

A sad day for me with my boy gone :(

I can understand his reasons for leaving his boyhood club, Kalvin has won all he was going to win at Elland Road with his championship medal firmly in his pocket.

Now he can go onto greater things, achieving medals playing for the best club in England & one of the best in Europe, something he could only dream of at Leeds.

Good luck Kalvin, you've been a star in my mind & deserve no abuse whatsoever!

The world is your oyster now :soccer:

It is a sad day, Chilli.

Leeds' fans should recognise that fact.

Kalvin will fit in like a glove at Citeh under Pep.

It will be much easier for him surrounded by ten other great players.

Good luck to Kalvin.

The bitter part of me wants it to go badly at city but he’s too nice of a guy to wish that on him and you can’t blame someone for chasing their dreams. 42 million I can cope with but it’s pretty pathetic from Leeds to only negotiate 3 million in add ons.

No one is bigger than LUFC, we've lost far more influential players than phillips, yea he had a good 3 seasons because a certain manager had the nounce to create his best position for him and rigidly stuck with him.
I wish him all the best, never gonna win owt with us, we can't compete financially with half this division anyway.
My hope is, we spend the brass wisely, we get a player in who can actually pass the ball forward and hit a teammate 9/10.

Very few players, if any, stay at one club their whole career. Its the nature of the beast.
He improved no end under Bielsa and I honestly don't think he would have played for England if not for him.
To play for a club with a realistic chance of winning every competition they are in is just the next step in his career.
It will be sickening to see him playing against us but I certainly wouldn't boo him if I was there.

What a terrific response from Kalvin. Who'd begrudge him a tilt at the best the game can offer. If someone told you as a 26 year old "go to work for company A, as they have the best promotion prospects, or choose company B if you just want to sit comfortably, which would you do?

Close to tears reading that 64.
I did note 'Leeds United one of the best clubs on Earth' not THE best club on earth as I guess he couldn't say that as he now belongs to another club and wouldn't want to upset their fans.....

Bielsa probably advised him to sign for no-one except Pep. It's his career. Best wishes KP.
