I thought , a few seasons ago ......would have been Bielsa first season or leading up to it .......the club sold Ronaldo Vista and I thought they had got ropid of the wrong midfielder .....back then Phillips looked like he was stagnating a fair bit , but Bielsa made something of him and really made him the player he now is, so yes the club really does owe Bielsa a fair bit there . Bielsa made quite a few better than they would have been imo.......though even O'Kane was beyond Bielsa' s ability .

:mfpa:  Don't get me going Clacton 'A bridge too far', along with the exceptional BPF  you know my thoughts from a previous forum, gulp.

Along with KP, Dallas, Cooper, Klich, Bamford....Let's see how Big Jesse uses and get's the best from these players.

West Ham manager David Moyes said England midfielder Declan Rice will not be sold for less than £150m - and is worth "north" of that figure.

Rice, 23, is a reported target for both Chelsea and Manchester United, but the Hammers boss is refusing to sell.

"The first thing to say is that he is not for sale," said Moyes.

"But if you are interested, it will be north of that, because £100m was cheap last summer and £150m just now would be minimum - but he is not for sale."

So Kalvin is £160,000,000 because he was better than Rice at the Euro's.

Absolutely Hector, we need to start playing hard-ball with other clubs. For too long we have been mugs in the transfer market particularly when selling , we are PL and need to start behaving the same way as others. Chris Lumpa to Newcastle for 25m FFS ! Says it all. Start at 150 each for both KP and Rapha, bollox to 'em !

Compare that response to the one Radz gave a few months ago.

Basically put the for sale sign up

Ayling will be 32 by the time his contract is up in 2023, i wouldnt be against a 1 year extension but i do worry we will never move past the Championship stalwarts.

Cooper will be 33 when his next deal is done and so will Dallas.

I wouldnt be offering both of them extensions, maybe Dallas.

We have a whole host of players now over 30, we need to start phasing them out.

Dallas got an extension last year. It's time to move on now Bielsa is gone.

Question is how much would we have to pay to replace him? Better spending the dosh elsewhere for now.

Dallas would be a great player to have available next season, with his versality he would be good to have as a squad player.

Fit as a fiddle he has five years left in him.
Marsch OUT

Football has undergone a process of bielsification; pressing and possessing, passing rather than dribbling, intercepting high up the field rather than making last-ditch tackles, are in vogue.

Marcelo Bielsa. The light that will never go out.

Tottenham are interested in Jack Harrison after he was recommended for some inexplicable reason by the Legendary Andrea Pirlo to Spurs DOF and close friend of Pirlo Fabio Paratici.

Ask for £30mil with English player tax and snap there hand off if they get close.

Absolutely delighted if we can get something like that for Harrison who whilst you can never fault his commitment he has benefited more than most for the attacking style helping to pad his stats.

In a less attacking team he'd struggle to get a few goals and assists a season.

Tremendously frustrating player who had the occasional great game but is usually dreadful with no in-between.

And quite simply Jesse Marsch doesn't use wingers in the traditional sense, very narrow style.
Absolutely sell Harrison for £20m plus...

Buys - That Haaland bloke and someone like KDB, a VVD and a ATA wouldn't go amiss...to compliment the others.

My point was he had a new contract, so why does he need another one? We're always hearing how skint we are, so maybe stop raising the wage bill unnecessarily?

He was player of the season when the club finished 9th last year!

What is it with Leeds fans and the fixation with writing off careers, Bamford, Ayling, Dallas, Meslier etc.

Still living off last season I see? By summer time it will be 2 seasons ago. It's time to look forward and stop living in the past!
