As we said weeks ago, this would happen, also, Rapha new contract is like a new signing, and it is.

Kinnear used to work for West Ham.

Both sets of fans deeply frustrated about January window.

Leak a false story on both sides and 1 gets the supposed ambitious offers the fans crave and the other has a ready made well we did reject X amount in January.

1 wish Kinnear would go back to London, a smarmy individual.

Reminds me of a politician.

No doubt Kinnear next gesture to our fans will be a £200 increase on our season-tickets to be paid by the end of March.

Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Jan 30, 2022 1:01 am We understand that some fans may disagree with us not signing anyone this window but the board and Marcelo are entirely committed to our youth policy and feel that in supporting this decision through this January window we have shown our commitment to the long term stability of the club. In allowing Summerville and Drameh to leave on loan we feel that they will fully benefit from a diffent schooling elsewhere and we look forward to welcoming them back in the summer. We are confident that with the support of our succesful u23 team and the return of our injured players we will have more than enough to have a succesful end to the season. Andrea and the 49ers are both fully committed to financially sustaining the club until we are fully able to benefit from our policy and furthermore as a sign of this commitment we rejected £100million pounds worth of offers this window.

Reading between the lines:
We know that most fans disagree with us not signing anyone this window but the board don’t want to spend any more money despite the fact that it may lead to long term instability of the club. We understand that Drameh and Summerville were never going to break into the 1st team due to the Manager’s “pet project” policy and we look forward to selling them on in the Summer. We are desperately hoping that with the support of our relegation threatened u23 team and the return of our injured players we will just about have enough to stay up. Andrea is fully committed to taking a chance that the team will stay in the Premier League so that he can get his big payday from the 49ers in the summer. We have rejected £100million pounds of offers this window, honest!

I think these clubs just see us as another Burnley type side and must think we're a real pushover. Well we do have the same ambition as Burnley!

Getting him to sign another deal is imperative, then when other teams (west ham excluded) come with serious intent of buying, we are in a much stronger position to haggle.
It's also his intent on staying with Leeds Utd, that means so much, plus the extra money on his wages that couldhave been used on another signing

Here we go, I knew Simon Jordan said something about this.
So when we sign nobody and Kinnear is crowing in his notes about us showing our ambition by rejecting big money offers for our players just remember 2 things.

1) This from Simon Jordan

2) Sullivan and Gold made Kinnear Managing Director at West Ham and he worked for them for years.

He has a very good relationship with them and will be well aware of all these little PR moves

Imagine my shock! So we rushed him back and injured him even more? Or like Bamford the club knew he was done for the season and covered it up? :duno:

This season, the gift that keeps on giving, FFS.

Hamstring is minimum 6 weeks upwards on the sidelines depending on damage. Then getting back up to fitness means he's all but done for this season then.

Yep, would seem so. I'd already accepted Bamford was done, but KP is a big loss as that is our glaring positional weakness currently.

I was just thinking about the whole KP saga and will he be off in the summer. It may (pains me to say) pay for us to cash in for him if someone offers big-bucks. His injury record is not great, and we really need a reliable seasoned defensive midfielder to make our style of football work. I guess much also depends on who the manager is next season. Bielsa stays, then perhaps selling KP for 80m will afford us to bring in a player without the injury problems who can do the job and plenty left over for strengthening other positions like AM, #8, or Striker.

Okay, ready for the pelters headed my way.
