PL have by far the worst vaccination rate in Europe.
They're rewarding clubs who are spreading covid and punishing those who aren't. No more games should get postponed. If we're naming 15 year olds on the bench, then clubs with bigger squads and resources can play.

Chelsea asked for their game vs Wolves to be called off.

This was their 18 vs Wolves today

Mendy
Rudiger
Silva
Azpilicueta
Alonso
James
Chalobah
Kante
Mount
Ziyech
Pulisic

Subs
Sarr
Barkley
Saul
Kovacic
Bettenelli
Arrizabalaga

Are we expected to believe Chelsea don't have an u23 team full of talent they could have used to fill the bench?

Takes the piss that Chelsea had the front to ask for it to be called off.

That's the problem, clubs will use it to their advantage.

But we won't, is that honourable or naive?

Edit- Leon beat me to it

Now they've dropped more points, Tuchel will get his wish on Boxing Day. Just need Liverpool to drop points and Klopp will start crying.

PL clubs meeting tomorrow and the Villa game could potentially be off.

According to The Athletic, clubs voted in favour playing on over Christmas. I bet we were stupid enough to be one of those clubs.

But Liverpool were strongly against it, so hopefully they cancel Boxing Day lol.

No games called off

They are going to try and complete the fixtures and work on a game by game basis so that the money men at Amazon and Sky don't get upset and start asking for refunds.

Really not fair on the fans if games get called off with only hours to go. But hey, I'm not surprised. As long as the money keeps rolling in eh? :x

Not sure this has changed but need 13 players and a goalkeeper to fullfil fixtures. There is no way the likes of man united, villa and spurs have not had this, all just got new managers and had a convenient excuse to miss games until better prepared. The system will continue to be played unless the prem investigate these supposed outbreaks properly.

No team would want to call off a game with us at the minute, we are sitting ducks for any hf decent team

So what happens if Boxing Day games get postponed? Teams playing on 28/29 will have a massive advantage. Surely no games should be allowed to be called off.

The premier league have lost control with these postponements now, backed themselves in to a corner and it’s now an embarrassment, it’s not happening anywhere else. Arsenal have 1 player with covid and have cited the afcon as another reason, which they have known about for months. Injuries and suspensions should not come in to it. Arsenal sent 2 players off on loan this week as-well. They need to change the rules to make sure the 14 player rule includes under 23’s otherwise this is going to go on for the rest of the season and it will never end.

Should be only covid related.

All Premier league clubs have academies.

Only covid should count, its ludicrous.

It was always going to be open to abuse....for the sake of sounding like a parrot, last seasons Superleague had clubs postponing games to suit themselves. Same thing happening now in the premier league. The FA have made a rod for their own backs I'm afraid and have now got nowhere to go with it

Definately. The FA need to get to grips with this but I don't see how.

Just hope it backfires on the teams who are constantly using Covid.

Nothing would please me more to see Dyche's bruisers go down.

I do wonder if they'll play their two remaining matches in January, if not Burnley would be five games behind the rest with Manure (h), Liverpool (h), Brighton (a) & Palace (a) to play in February.
