I was looking at my stats thread and tbh not seeing why we were in melt down. If we can get a draw v Leicester it'll be one defeat in 5 which is decent form... and from that confidence will build.

Was looking at a table on another forum where a mate of mine has calculated finishing positions based on staying on current form for rest of the season along with points already got.
Chelsea win it with Wolves 2nd (apparently our draw is their only blip, 13pts from 15 possible)
West Ham 3rd.
We are mid table with Scum a few places behind us.
Villa, Newcastle & Norwich relegated.

Apparently its going to be updated every few games, interesting one to watch although clearly just a bit of fun.

Three points in our first five games weren't too clever, although we should have had at least 2 more points, maybe four had we been more clinical vs Burnley & Newcastle.

I fancy us for a draw vs the Foxes, so a point would be good imo.

Can't see Wolves finishing 2nd in a month of Sundays. West Ham are the team that may sneak into the top four this season.

I've got it down to Watford, Villa & Newcastle fighting it out for 17th place, Norwich are already gone imo!

Of course it wont happen, if Wolves maintain 13pts for every 5 games I'll eat more than my hat.

As i said though its all purely based on current form (last 5 games) and not meant to be taken too seriously just done in fun.

As they say "form is temporary", so many factors like who you have played in those games, injuries, suspensions, etc.
Only one true table and that is after 38 games.

I agree with what you said about Norwich being already gone when are they gonna win a game? 🤔

Nice one Leon 🙂

You can also say we've had lots of first teamers unavailable too

We need to get them back and hopefully blood Bate or get an ACM like Swift from Reading in January. Then we'll climb the table

I've got a feeling we might beat Leicester :)

Thanks J, reading that table is reassuring for me right now, just goes to show twelve other teams are not in great form, a few of them having spent huge money on their squads.

I know other clubs have their injury problems, but they have larger, more experienced squads. I very much doubt no PL club have fielded a bench with a player who has hardly kicked a ball for two years & the rest filled with kids having limited first-team football at the highest level.

A victory would be fantastic, I'd take a draw now mate.

Yeah, in comparison with well established EPL clubs we've not spent

As a lot of us have said, you can't stand still at this level or you'll put yourself at risk. We didn't address our major weakness in the summer, so in a small squad with a dearth of quality we've felt the impact more than others, and that's where we are at

We need an ACM in January, I couldn't care less about all this bedding in stuff and we can't afford it. We can't afford to go down that's for sure.

So get an ACM in January and we need to invest and refresh this squad in the summer. The money from the sale of Raphinha will help, as he won't be hanging around after May

I noticed that Villa have lost their last four matches.

They are at Southampton tomorrow, if they lost that they're really in the s**t and can imagine that Smith might get the boot :)

Newcastle are also in serious trouble, no wins in 10

Unconvinced, we'll improve the squad in January :duno:

Hope Raphinha stays at ER, if not we'll just have to enjoy our Brazilian star for the rest of the season.

Villa are on an awful run, tough game for them at Southampton, hope Villa stick with Dean Smith :roflmao:

I was chatting to a Newcastle fan this morning, he can't see them picking up many points between now & the January window, by that time they'll be well adrift.
