Not surprised this is literally a reserve team we are playing against with no real 1st teamers in it.

Whereas we have players like Poveda, Roberts, Cooper, Costa, Forshaw in ours and we are getting outclassed.

Friendly results arent important but the performance matters.

Sometimes friendlies are more useful for confirming a manager's doubts about players who haven't been starting for the first team.

3-1 final score. Poor game from Leeds. Most of the players no where near first team/premier league level at the moment, not even most of the first team players in the first half. Second half a bit better. Only Summerville, Jenkins and Dean stood out for me. Ajax has some real good kids.

In fairness though our side was U23s and players completely lacking in fitness/match sharpness. Don't forget that it is only a few years back that Ajax produced a batch of young players that only just failed to get their first team to the Champions League Final so you would expect their youth teams to continue to be pretty strong.

If we are looking to be a top six prem side you can't rely on these type of players who are clearly not top level footballers.

Not their fault as every sportsman/woman reaches a ceiling in their sport & will struggle to achieve in a higher grade.
