Bad Idea, I won't be applying for one...

Not really they don't cater for me...but it's the tip of a nasty iceberg ...

Re: Covid passports
Won't be enforced mate,
Can't see it working effectively even if they did introduce passports.
I won't be entering pubs for drinking purposes anyway, have a Jack Daniels in hand at home now

Re: Covid passports
Can’t see it ever getting off the ground as it’s discriminatory as discussed on radio 2 today. The majority of drinkers who fill our pubs, particularly town and city centres are younger and haven’t had their vaccine yet. Even when they do there’d be fake passports doing the rounds on the internet for people to print at home thereby underage drinkers would be able to obtain one.
No doubt they’ll spend a few million looking into it and award another contract to someone who’s well connected to do a trial somewhere only to find it doesn’t work.

Waste a few more million £££'s as they have done over the past twelve months.rich_leeds64 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 7:04 pm Can’t see it ever getting off the ground as it’s discriminatory as discussed on radio 2 today. Re: Covid passports
This is no doubt a ruse to try and get younger folk to have the vaccine.
Some the Faragiste outrage is misplaced.
Pubs won’t enforce this, no way.

Re: Covid passports
I assumed they'd be a phone app...
Nurse today seemed convinced they'd be a passport, I said not for me there won't and she looked at me funny. What's wrong with the little cards they give you?
Actually I know what's wrong with them.

Re: Covid passports
Has the monitoring chip inserted in the vaccine been bothering anyone?

Re: Covid passports
instead of a covid passport people should be made to wear a badge on their jackets saying that they have not been chipped... some symbol saying biohazardBobHirst wrote:Has the monitoring chip inserted in the vaccine been bothering anyone?
then they could be denied jobs and other rights and privileges.

Passports or no passports we still have to remember the vaccine jabs will save millions of lives.

This will always be used to justify any imposition they care to make. Authoritarian government has always been welcomed as a necessary protection against some threat or other; it never ends well.

Re: Covid passports
I'm not sure about for pubs but it does make sense for foreign travel, both for people coming to UK or us traveling elsewhere.
If the government don't do it, it won't be long before a private company starts to do it for airlines etc.
It may also encourage the anti-vac brigade to come to their senses.
How about if you could only get into Elland Road with one? Would that change anyone's mind on the anti passport side?
