Always seemed a very decent type. Wasn’t he very friendly with David O’Leary 🤔

A personal one... A great friend and a fellow lifelong Leeds United supporter...

Just off the phone with the wife of an old comrade of mine... Ian "Spud" Murphy passed away 8 hours ago in ICU from covid...
Me and Spud served together for 20 years, went through some tough s**t together, but more good times than bad, I was his best man at his wedding. we went through the emotions of the last 16 years together, we never lost touch...Enjoy the Green Fields old friend, see you when I get there...

RIP Leslie West. Mountain's first four albums were oft played in the 6th form common room. That Les Paul had a unique sound. I went to see Mountain on their last tour in Manchester in 2003, and they were excellent. There was a drunk at the front, who was constantly heckling Leslie, and he shut him up completely with the comment, "Hey, don't I know you from rehab. ?"

Jim McLean.

One of the few who came close to breaking the Old Firm monopoly in Scotland,

I remember their run to the Uefa Cup Final, iirc it was their 55th game of the season and his squad were absolutely done in.
