Off work today so decided on the healthy exercise option this morning of getting the bike out for a cycle round Bute Park.
Lying behind Cardiff Castle and across the River Taff from Sophia Gardens (home of Glamorgan CCC) it really is stunning this time of year.
We are lucky to have such a large open space practically in the centre of the city.

Just took a look-see, (care of google), of Bute Park. A very nice looking spot, with130 acres of lush gardens to boot. Highlights a formal garden to honour Stuttgart. Was unaware that Cardiff was twinned with Stuttgart, takes me back to memories of 1992. Even an events field in honour of our very own Coops

Funny you mention Stuttgart, as not long after moving to Cardiff at the end of 1992 I won a competition (with TDK tapes - remember them) for 2 to go to the 1st World Athletics Championships, which were held in Stuttgart.

Myself and my girlfriend (we hadn’t got married at that point) went and had a great time - 5* hotel, VIP tickets into the stadium, food/drink etc....Saw Linford Christie win the 100m as well as the likes of Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson. Was a cracking 4/5 day trip and all the better as it was a freebie

In fact I used to enter a few comps as a hobby and it proved quite worthwhile......as I won trips to Los Angeles, Sandals in Antigua, Switzerland, flight on Concorde together with hundreds of other things like TV’s, DVD/Video players, washing machine, leather suite, fridge (full of ice cream), years supply of beer, concert tickets, cash prizes....etc

Not sure whether your gains were luck or skill, nevertheless hope you are entering the big lotteries regularly, and can i be your manager purely on a commission basis

...Saw him on some talk show a few days ago mate , sadly since he retired as Maximus, it has slowly been coming... now he is " a fat barsteward"

All the pundits say that because of the high tempo, high pressing game we will burn out/blow a gasket before the season ends. Everybody is flabergasted by our style of their play... we do not have a "plan B" if things go wrong, we only aspire to make "plan A" better. We are the underdogs... in many cases... but dogs on steroids. Our dynamic free flowing football is a joy to watch, and everybody is in awe of our style of play, so I had to write a song about it (10 out of 10 for rhyming cliche with Marseille)
I give you Rottweilers on speed. That's tenacity for you.

Believe it or not I was reading a Villa BB and it was a Villa supporter who used the phrase
"Dogs on Steroids" to describe the pressing and tenacity of the Leeds team... sometimes
we are like pit bull terriers when we get a grip on a game... we just don't give up, and other teams
just can't live with it.
