Actually there was a moment around 55 minutes when De Bruyne stepped up to take a free kick and I remembered he was our main threat, all credit Kalvin.

People have been saying that KP looks off form. But he's having to do a lot of dogged defensive work against some of the best forwards in the world. I think he's been great so far this season, albeit more defensive than he had to be in the Championship.

A great learning process for KP and the Leeds team today. We all had to dig in as we were knocked completely out of our comfort zone but we didn't lose our belief, we didn't dith our way of playing and instead we played our way into the game. I am sure all the players will have taken a lot of confidence in themselves from today.

The first 20 minutes wasn’t great, but our whole team looked nervous.

But the way he lifted his game after that was impressive and when you look at the water heavy pitch it was even more impressive. He has tremendous fitness and won the ball from De Bruyne many times in key monents in second half.

It’s easy to understand why Southgate rates him.

I often think players are encouraged to do this by the manager. Explains why some teams are notorious for it. Certainly something I could see Dean Smith encouraging, seems the type to want a win at any cost.

Certainly not the sort of thing I’d expect Southgate to ask of the players. As you said, Grealish looks a much more professional player when he isn’t diving about all over the place.

It's not good at all especially as struijk the man I would trust to do a job in kalvins place might be injured aswell. Cooper and llorente likely out for weeks too.
