Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion
The options are diminishing by the day. Personally I think the January window should be scrapped unless it's an absolute emergency. Dealings should be concluded during the summer and you go with what you have for that season.

We are getting our business done early and have planned according to Angus Spinny
Bowen rumour . . Quickly shot down by other journalists.
Adams- No official confirmation from PH or Graham but thats pretty much dead.
We like Andre Grey but Nigel Pearson today said he wont be going anywhere.
Billy Sharp seems to not be a target (thankfully).
Dwight Gayle is injured and to expensive (thankfully)
Random Spanish twitter account linked us with Mariano Diaz but he seems to be going to Portugal.
Ian Poveda was meant to be at Thorp Arch today but no confirmation.
Basically every time we are linked to anyone its shot down fairly fast.
Thats about it

Bit like our year so far, 15 shots, 5 on target , no goals etc. Transfer market parody ?Cjay wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 12:25 am We are getting our business done early and have planned according to Angus Spinny

Three players I'd like to see brought is a decent centre back called Jansson who plays down at Brentford. There's a guy called Roofe doing a decent job for Anderlecht and a young dynamic midfielder playing for Sampdoria, by the name of Viera.
I guess it wouldn't be all so desperate, if we just stopped selling our gems.

As I always say Overman, LUFC should build on what they have & not get rid of their best players.Overman wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 11:09 am Three players I'd like to see brought is a decent centre back called Jansson who plays down at Brentford. Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion
Clubs don't have to pay salaries to new signings until the end of February, not the same for us fans whereas we have to pay for our season-tickets with months to go during the current seasonleic white 63 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2020 12:09 pm for one reason or another majority of signings are made at the end of the january window.

Yes but their spies got away with it!rab_rant wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2020 3:30 pm
There speaks an honest man who does not want to achieve success by breaking the rules.
Not a Machiavelli who wants success by any means possible. And therein lie the rub, since I
suspect that after so many years in the wilderness fans want to use desperate measures to get
back the "promised land," and when their dreams remain unfulfilled, frustration is the end
result.
We should remind ourselves that of all the people who escaped the bondage of Egypt
(the Championship) only two of them (Joshua and Caleb) entered the promised land,
and that was because they were just and upright, the rest perished having to suffer the
wilderness for 40 years.

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion
i think its more to do with clubs reluctant to let certain players go until a better suitable replacement is found .
Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion
We now have another week to get the best player we can?
Nobody coming in for QPR is very disappointing and s**t from the club (we do love making our squad progressively weaker).
But now we have 10 days after tomorrow till Millwall.
So may as well keep trying to get the best most suitable player we can.
No rush now, chase this special player whoever it may be until the 28th, if he hasnt signed by then move on imo and get SOMEBODY.

Dwight Gayle out for 4-6 weeks
So
WELCOME DWIGHT GAYLE
That presumably is another name off the list.

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion
We seem no further forward after 17 days so i dont find 2 weeks comforting tbh.
Where the hell is Poveda?
I think leave 3 days to get someone in.
But chase Che Adams or any unlikely targets for the next 11, maybe we can get a surprise.
Dont allow anofher Dan James, last minute nail biter to occur again though
