Its stating the obvious but Very good first half against their 2nd 11 but Very poor second half against their superstars. Also as a team based around a solid defence shipping 6 goals in 40 minutes is a worry. I will give a 6.

It's difficult to judge this one.
Our weaker players were hung out to dry in the second-half, not entirely to blame as they were out if their depth.
Can't rate anymore than 5/10, the second period was horrific.

Difficult we did well all be it against a reserve Chelsea side first half
But we conceded 6 goals in one half which isn't acceptable at any level against a team in the same league.
So went 7 first half 2 second, rounded up to 5

We weren’t that bad really.
For 50 minutes in total we were looking fairly confident, it was a bizarre 40 minute period when the wheels came off.
As many have mentioned, the lack of a DM when in front, cost us the game (Palmer had the freedom of exactly the area a DM would be patrolling)
There was a slightly amusing few seconds when the Sky commentators were fawning all over Chelsea saying how magnificent they were, only to be cut short when the onscreen graph showed eight shots each and possession a lot closer than they thought - both said “Oh!?” In union

It is difficult to judge but I don't buy the weaker players hung out to dry line - it wasn't like Bijol, Tarik, Ampadu etc covered themselves in glory during the collapse.
You just get some games where they change in an instant. Very generous penalty and then in a blink of any we go from being in front and behind and every shot on target going in. I think without that penalty we probably hold on comfortably, fresh legs coming on around the 65 minute mark to simply help us see out the win.
It shouldn't have turned as much as it did on one decision but football can be like that.
I toyed between 5 and 6 and went for 5 as there were a few too many poor individual performances.

I watched it through a stream that was Chelsea's commentators - they were probably less biased (or fawning) than Sky and was actually a decent listen - apart from, the obligatory Joe Rodon being called Joe Rondon!Finnatic wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2026 10:49 am We weren’t that bad really.

My lowest rating on these threads so far.
Can't rate our performance more than 5 after conceding six goals.

I'd not have thought a score as high as 5 was possible after concedeing 6...

Important not to overreact and forget the good stuff. It wasn't like we just turned up and played sh*te for 90 minutes - though you and the rest of the Dannybashers would have loved that. The Subhuman wrote: ↑Thu Sep 10, 2026 3:42 pm I'd not have thought a score as high as 5 was possible after concedeing 6...
