I don't think he played at all under the new guy last season...and certainly not captain material yet, way too young and inexperienced. More mature players may not have understood that decision. I didnt see any 'Captaincy' from Archie today. I think new manager bounce was more to do with them staying up to be honest Finn.

They did very well but to be fair they were up against a Spares side that was all over the shop. Strange game in some ways. Blandford could have got 2 or 3 more goals and yet if the Spares young kid Moore had had a bit of composure he could wellhave had a hattrick!

I agree, I’m just assuming they see leadership qualities in him coming from a football family etc

Also, he got decent comments regarding his attitude when the rest of the team seemed to down tools just before the escape at the end of the season.
