To me the bigger reason was we seemed to be playing 3-4-3 and not 3-4-2-1, maybe to match them ??
I think DCL is better as a roving lone striker being supplied by 2 behind him. He seemed to struggle at times with Wilson and Aaronson beside him.
He's still great value though as he husstles in both boxes.
But he seemed a bit flat today to me.

And in regards to DCL I think he likely scores if Wilson hadn't got to the ball first as although Wilson was offside DCL had timed his run superbly and wouldn't have been offside and had a tap in from his usual range.

I think our lack of creativity was down to both sides playing with 5 at the back and it being a bit congested. We could have tried to open it up and gone to 4 at the back but the flip side is that it then leaves us a lot more vulnerable. Likely better to be hard to beat and hopefully we have the ability to nick a goal from a set piece, throw etc.

I agree with regard to our shape. Bogle and Justin really didn't get forward to provide any width. They mostly stayed home, which meant that Aaronson and Wilson were drifting wider. I think that was somewhat by design, but it did limit us. It will be interesting to see how we approach things at home against Brentford.

Im also very interested to see the lineup Farke goes with on Tuesday night.
We will definitely see Elvedi, but maybe not starting?
Nmecha up front. James, Longstaff, Tanaka?
