Yes, I thing from the cup on the whole we can take away a few positives like young Bennison and the return of Coad to form. There was just too many negatives to win the thing when your openers keep failing and we really don't have much depth with the batting. A couple of centuries for Lux earlier in the tournament but he was like a rabbit in the headlights thereafter.
Regardless, yesterday seemed a great opportunity to progress after the early wickets but we really should be scoring more than we did. What was that from Whiteman? Dom Bess sent down a couple of pointless full tosses that both got smashed over the boundary and Hill's missed stumping just about summed it up.
A loss against Hants next week won't decide anything but if we can't beat Leicestershire after then we deserve everything we get. Lyth needs to get some sort of form back but I'll think we'll be alright with the bowling.
Agree with everything you say about that performance & Lyth
Our younger players should be relying on the likes of the experienced Bess & Lyth to be solid, not expecting to be constantly under presure due to Dom's & Adam's ineptness.

Thought it best to wait until the Aussies had finished the second innings but it looks like it will be a historic win for the Tigers sometime tomorrow. I think like England, Australia have wasted a good opportunity to rebuild this year and introduce new blood. Perhaps they don't have any new blood.
