BBC not showing lightning for Sunday, have they bought it forward for English TV?
Which they just said on the BBC
Acuweather says "Cloudy with occasional rain and a thunderstorm later in the afternoon".
They were reporting thunderstorms yesterday to be fair.

Forecasts change really quickly. BBC are usually very good tbf... they have the lightning storms 2/3 days later

I was in Mexico City just over a decade ago and I honestly don't remember the high altitude at all. Maybe I wasn't there long enough or I'd come from Guadalajara so it made no difference.

Egypt disappointing tonight, after looking very good in their games against Belgium & New Zealand.

Scattered thunderstorms are the norm every day at this time of year in CDMX, as they are where I am in Merida. They would have known this before drawing up the fixtures, and they went ahead with KO off times so far that were in the evening. My betting is a worry on drinking and hooliganism, from both sides. Thing is, a ticket and travel to this game would have proved out a lot of English hooligans going only for a fight.

Guadalajara is about 5300 feet above sea level, so although Mexico City is 1700 feet higher, you would have acclimatised somewhat.

I'm not sure why FIFA would do the FA any favours?

We've had good TV times so far... no 1, 3 or 5 am games...

I'd rather sign Beach than Suzuki tbh, he's been far more impressive in the tournament.
