My comment about England going to the Azteca was not meant to be a slam. I'm just curious how England will handle it. For context, the USA has NOT handled it well over the years. We have exactly one friendly win there. Zero wins in actual competition. I think it's a much more difficult environment than anything England have to deal with in WC qualifying.

Mexico is our arch rival. So I will be rooting for England in that match.

Unless you’ve experienced it you can’t imagine just how rough a Mexican crowd can be, and my only experience with them was at a game in Los Angeles. I can only imagine what Azteca is going to be like.

My dream matchup came to pass and I'll be in the Azteca with my Mexican cousin-in-law for the game on Sunday. Couldn't care less what the result ends up, just happy to experience the atmosphere and to watch England in the Azteca; the source of my earliest footballing memory from 1986 when I was 7 years old (England v Argentina).

The altitude will be tough on the England players. I've travelled to Mexico City at least twenty times and you do feel the altitude whenever doing anything vigorous.
