There has been lots of talks for years about doing this and that to curb cheating or the protesting to ref`s much to strongly about decisions, but its hardly changed. It just seems to be in the DNA now of footballers, and i suspect thats coming from what the young players are being taught.
It seems that those in charge are afraid to really clamp down on these types of incidents. Make the punishments hard and stick to them. Sure some fans, players and managers will moan about it for a while but in time it would change. If they continue to just ignor it and hope the players change then things will never improve.
Rugby players must despair when they see footballers rolling around pretending to be injured & their poor attitude & disrespect to their fellow professionals.

I loved it on Sunday, when Rodon accidently fell on Minteh. who looked in some pain whilst having treatment & Joe went over to Minteh asking him if was OK. Unlike the Palace defender who was gleefully celebrating when Gudmundsson was red carded, a couple of months ago.

Farke has instilled into our players to show respect & be honourable/humble just like himself, for that reason alone, I love our current playing squad.

No Bijol at the back to cope with all their set-pieces.

No, didn’t play in the home game.

Personally, doubt it would have made any difference anyway.

You kidding mate, bearing in mind all those crosses being bombed into our box from their twelve corners & others from set-pieces & general play, Arsenal bombarded us at corner-kicks.

I reckon Bijol would have dealt with Madueke's cross better for their first goal.

Bijol won eleven defensive headers against Brighton.

Leeds have only lost one Premier League game when Bijol starts, at Newcastle.

Good line up to be fair, Rodon an excellent deputy for Bijol. I think we just set up badly both times and afforded them way to much respect. There was a sit back and wait and see attitude both times that completely failed

Not in the DNA of football though is it.
Even at a low level I’ve heard of refs being abused and beaten up. They are very well respected in rugby at all levels and I have played both as a teenager and it’s definitely true. Its in the fans as well isn’t it to a certain degree. A history of violence. Not all fans obviously but you aren’t mixed together at football while it’s perfectly normal in rugby at all levels.
I declare my love for Saint Daniel and I can shoehorn him in to any conversation.

We got beat 5-0 away, and 0-4 at home from memory. We got battered in both games, as the scores would suggest.

Again, from memory, Rodon and Struijk played, two of our better defenders. Bijol playing may have made a difference (we will never know) but to think we’d have won had Bijol played doesn’t make sense to me.

Not good enough on the day without Bijol.

Just watched the highlights again.

Three goals conceded from crosses, three other occasions where Arsenal went close as they continued dominate us aerially.

Goal 1 - Rodon beaten when marking two men, god knows where Pascal was.

Goal 2 - Arsenal whipped in a vicious corner, Darlow palms the ball onto Justin's back for an OG.

Goal 3 - Ball played to Jesus feet in our box, he turns Pascal with ease & smashes the ball into the corner of our net.

Goal 4 - Pascal over commits with a challenge, allowing a cross into our box leaving Rodon exposed who doesn't jump with Bogle caught napping at the back post.

We definitely missed the big man, as the ball was often flighted into our box where Bijol would have been.

I didn't say we'd have won as the gooners were far too good for us, but I suspect we wouldn't have conceded nine goals with Rodon & Struijk either side of Bijol..

Bijol has been responsible for a few conceded goals himself, gets turned very easily, a clumsy footballer sometimes. Very good in the air though and when sliding in for a block. He's a sweeper basically and it'll be interesting t o see how we set up next season as Farke does prefer more midfield personel and 5 at the back means we're a mid or forward short...

If Pep does leave would that make Unai Emery the current Premier League manager with the most trophies to his name?

Can't think of anyone else who gets close :duno:

Those 5 Europa League trophies may be more than anyone else on their own? Positive he's won a few more as well.

Reports that Fulham boss Marco Silva will leave Fulham to take charge of Portugal giants S.L. Benfica who are looking for a new boss after Jose Mourinho reignited his career with the Portuguese team and got the Real Madrid job.

Key is to back Farke and make the right signings. The importance of squad unity cannot be downplayed and we need to make sure we sign the right players - and ultimate say, in my opinion, needs to be down to Farke. Transfer team need to identify the targets, do all the research etc and give Farke a list and then let him chose who he feels fits into the team and team ethos best.

I think we are in a good shape with the squad, a reasonable level of depth, nobody that desperately needs replacing, no position that desperately needs improving, though obviously some areas could do with strengthening.

Get the recrutiment right, add to the quality we have and we can have another good season. I can't see this board scrimping so think we will have a decent amount of funds. With not being in european competition (or unlikely to be) it isn't like we need a huge squad so quality rather than quantitiy.
Spot on.

With Arsenal in the CL Final this has not only been the worst ever PL season (how else did we survive with Farke in charge) but clearly the whole of European football has gone down the Shi77er.
