I fell asleep. No slight on the game. The damn 4:30 kick off this morning.

I get it Andrew. I only watched the last half hour this morning. Got up at 7am.

I agree Cjay. He had a great season for LAFC after kinda settling in last season. He would be in the starting eleven for LUFC. At least that's my opinion. He also had one or two caps for Poland this year. Playing alongside Lewendowski.

He looks to have really matured.

Diego Luna is a very talented young player. Just 21 years old he has been capped once by the USA. But he was not favored by the former Manager and he was reportedly considering a one time switch to Mexico. Which he is eligible to do.

He has developed well in MLS. And I'm not surprised to learn there is interest from the UK and in Europe. I wonder a bit if he is the kind of kid that could make that transition culturally. I'm just not sure.

But there is no question he is very talented. And we could use a true #10. He has the talent to be a real player in the Championship. And he is still developing.

I watched until the first goal. Found the build up interesting the commentators with extreme cutaway collars and ties, the blond on the side line pre match commentary team, the aeroplane flyover, the white hankie waving by the LA fans, well taken first goal from a precision pass, and the long celebrations afterwards which involved holding up a shirt. The size of some of the male fans, and the number of pretty women, and all held in an open air stadium, where it looked hot, and the fans would have appreciated some shade. It was more of a spectacle than I am used to... different aesthetics from a dour Championship game on a Tuesday night in the rain.

I had the same issue as AJS, Paul. Was also peeking at some of the college football games, but saw the first two goals for the Galaxy. Looked the stronger side for me. Well deserved trophy, IMHO.

I would argue that MLS is just as fast and physical as the Championship. Although stylistically they are different. Much more Latin influence.

Aaronson has always been bullied physically. Even in MLS. He's actually tougher this season than ever before. But still gets knocked around.

Luna would not get physically manhandled like Aaronson. But I think Leeds fans would treat him much like they did McKennie. Because he always looks a little heavy. But then, so did Juan Roman Riquelme...

Well, it was a final. Thus all of the pomp and circumstance. It does have a different feel than most English or European leagues. And the calendar year season feels odd to most of you. But if it helps, the Brazilian league finished this weekend also. Botafogo won their first league trophy since 1995.
