I'd be happy if he gave Gnonto a fair crack and drop Okafor

The cynic in me says no. I think the whole Larsen saga could well follow the same trajectory as the classic Ryan Kent and Che Adams pursuit. The club seems to hyperfocus on a player and then at the last minute it fails to materialise. Then we will go all out for Wilson with five minutes left, sounds about right.

I am hoping the 49ers will be serving up humble pie though!

I think we have been here before, waiting for news only to be disappointed. If we get anyone its going to be JSL, but I still would like to see a backup for Gudmunsson...... We see our rivals strengthening and its a big worry when our recruitment team seem to be inactive at present.

The longer the JSL saga goes on, I become less confident.

The Buonanotte loan signing was a surprise!
and i hope he can improve because he looked out of his depth when he came on on Monday night

Come on Pjm, Buonanotte was only on the pitch for nine minutes.

I felt the lad was thrown in the deep end to be honest.

The issue with Buonanotte may depend on DF and how much he uses him.

The kids only played about 6 matches worth of minutes in 8 months.

He won't be match sharp and the only way to get that back is generous minutes, not 5-10 minutes every so often..

So much may depend on DF on how successful this loan is.

Probably a bench option until the cup game.

No.
We've seen this before and as someone else already said, its che Wilson all over again

Tbh I wont be upset if they dont manage to get strand larsen. Though would like another full back for cover due to injuries seeing Justin used all over.

Heard Chilwell rumour but seems may be speculation only and can't see farke rushing in for anyone when he's always saying about stability and not upsetting morale of the group he has etc..

Id love to see mateta sign for 35m rather than the 40m strand. But unfortunately villa and forrest seem more tempting for him and thats the issue. Signing quality to fit the mould while any signings know they'll be fighting possible relegation. We'll be more tempting in summer if we stay up.

26 No's and 4 Yes's says a lot about the mentality on this forum

We just bid a huge amount for Strand Larsen. There's money there. We're trying to sign someone. Too many Nay-sayers here

Sterling is an interesting one. A match winner on his day without a doubt, struggled at Arsenal and Chelsea for form and game time. Does he still have the same hunger and desire, footballers by their very nature are inherently competitive he may still want to prove a point. But he wouldn’t be a cheap salary - very much on the fence on this one but if we managed to get him, which is very unlikely I would not be unhappy.

I suspect he will go abroad personally.

I am not bothered if we get someone in or do not. This window is always difficult for a team in our position. Making comparisons with what other clubs do is rather pointless in my opinion. I do not think we need to take a punt and I have no issues with the club identifying the players they want and remaining focused rather than adopting a scattergun approach.

I do not think the Larsen matter is off by any means. It really depends on whether Wolves want to sell him at a reasonable valuation. From a PR perspective in what is looking like a calamitous season - they have their own fanbase to worry about.

Voted no because Dan James returning to fitness will be like a new player signing so we're sorted :)
