Oh and sorry I was wrong, I thought Boro didn't have many injuries any more.
Ben Doak
Luke Ayling
George Edmondson
Dael Fry
Semi Dieng
And 2 or 3 others are still injured

Re: Boro pre match chat.
The concept of wisdom of the crowd was first formally proposed by Francis Galton in 1907. He observed a contest at a livestock fair where about 800 people guessed the weight of an ox. While individual guesses varied widely, the average of all the guesses was remarkably accurate, within 1 pound of the actual weight.
Galton published his findings in the journal Nature, showing that the collective judgment of a crowd could be more accurate than that of individual experts. This laid the foundation for the idea that groups, under the right conditions, can make smart decisions.
Applying wisdom of the crowd to fans' opinions about a team's success or failure can be insightful, but it needs structure. Here's how it can work:
Diverse opinions: Fans have different perspectives, some focus on tactics, others on player mentality, injuries, or management decisions. Collecting a wide range of views gives a fuller picture. On MOT we have a wide variety of negative and positive view, though more leaning towards the negative.
Independence: To avoid echo chambers, gather opinions before big media narratives or social media trends dominate. How many fans take their opinions from TSB?
Decentralization: Fans close to the club, like season ticket holders, may notice things others don't (e.g., body language, effort levels), adding local insight. Are the opinions of those who attended the game more valid?
The wisdom of the crowd provides a balanced, collective judgment that can highlight deeper issues than media headlines. Clubs sometimes use this indirectly via fan sentiment analysis for decisions or communications. It can also influence fan-driven movements or put pressure on club leadership. Did fans opinions influence the removal of Meslier?
Going by the wisdom of the crowd as put forth on this Forum, Leeds will not be promoted.

I toyed with Piroe playing behind Bamford in the Aaronson role.Cjay wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 10:05 am Piroe has played really well this season.
Like any striker when those meant to support him hit bad form strikers tend to follow.
You don't drop your top scorer imo.
Especially not for Patrick Bamford, that's desperate.
JP is struggling recently but so is the structure behind him.
Something needs to change!

Re: Boro pre match chat.
He had a little purple patch.
But he has the worst minutes to goal or assist ratio of any of our attackers and that includes Mateo Joseph.
If you play Bamford whose best work is off the ball not on it and Aaronson you haven't anyone in the central areas whose biggest strengths are scoring or creating.

Farke here
Everything is OK. We'll have training after the press conference. We have one or two question marks.
One is Joe Rothwell, he has a calf injury. Probably our for the Easter wekeend. Hope he's back last two games of the season. Strjk will miss the next two games this week.
He had a knock on his foot. The fear is that he has a little farcture, which means the season is over. But he needs assessment.
Midfield and defence
Rothwell not availabke doesn't help. Ethan is a rally good option. Max is back available but has been out for many weeks. Only one full week of training. He's available for a short term apparance.
Byram has played there. Guilavogui. We will fnd some good solutions.
Bamford
In the last 25 minutes he played were beneficial. It wouldn't be natural tp out him straght away into the starting line up.
I liked his movements, invovled in one or two dangerous scenes. To have him available is always important.
Middlesbrough
If we are ourselves we will be successful. Middlesbrough are a really good side. We have to make sure we are structured and defend well
On staying cool compared to other managers
It's a crunch time of the season. When you are invovled in a promotion race, its quite often the fatc after a game there are emotions.
It's important that the fire also burns. If its burning over the line that's not a probem but we stay calm. You have to keep your nerves and stay calm and cool.
My football doesn't rely on draws. It's made for winning games. A difference between not being happy after a draw and slaughtering a team after a draw.
Sometimes the point can be available. We know we can win our games then we will be in the PL.
The supporters are the most emotional and best supporters in the country. What shuld they do? After a draw, then you hear Burnley win then yeah the frustration and they over react a bit. ut it shows how much they want it.
I have to be more there for the players. Of course I think 'Manor why don;t you score' - same with Willy and Ao (losing the ball). But they don't need the manager [saying more]. I was brought in to bring some coolness. That's what I have to give and protect my players.
Ramazani message
We all love Largie. He had to be patient at the start of the season. No one can blame him for his injury. He's a confidence and mood player and risky situations.
It's important when you come in during crunch time of the seaosn and the game that you are reliable. There are a few thing that are non negotiable.
Not just about Largie but you should invest more in terms of running and energy. If it's less, this is not what you want more or less. This is not negotiable. Then to be strong and reliable.
We know Largie hass the capacity to get fans off their seats. If you lose focus and lose the ball, then Ao Tanaka fouls and gets a yellow card then can't go as hard - that's not what you want to see.
Largie is an emotional payer. We are not angry with him. Just a few things he ahs to learn and he can have a big impact. We spoke about this, you have to show this on the training pitch. By doing this, you earn the right to earn more minutes.
Largies is 100% aware and its up to him to show he has the right o play and possible come back into the starting XI again.
Tiredness
I' not a bleiver in spekaing about tiredness because if you speak about it then you feel it. Jaidon Anthony has played every game but has scored a brace.
I don;t like spekaing about players who havent scored due to tiredness. It's not like many of my players have played 40 games this season.
Clean sheets
This is something we have addressed. Whenever we are focused in our defensive behaviour we have a great chance all three points. Definitely something we are looking at.
as a team on the path better defnsive in next game not allow one counter attack
Set-piece attackers without Rothwell
It depends who is on the pitch. We have James or Solomon for the outswinger.
We don't have a clear number one. We don't have a player that is a specialist in this area.

We have no play maker, no set piece taker after Rothwell, we've known this issue all season long, Rothwell only got in through injury so who's talking bollocks here again !!

Re: Boro pre match chat.
It looks like Farke doesn't think Bamford is ready to start yet but in my opinion Paddy would link up well with Aaronson. They both like to make forward runs in behind and they both work hard pressing from the front. Obviously as you say someone needs to put the ball in the back go the net but I'd be willing to give it go with Piroe to come on against tired defenders as he was doing earlier in the season.
For example the selections against Luton just didn't seemed balanced with Piroe dropping into Gnonto's spaces and that's against an opponent that wasn't going to play through the thirds. That's why in my option we looked better once Bamford came on and as we had someone leading the line up top whilst leaving room for Piroe to play the deeper role.

Cjay actually has Farke imprinted on his brain.
He goes in to a sweet shop:
“half a pound of Farke Imperials please”
“Do you mean Mint Imperials”
“Yes. Farke you very much for correcting me”
