Early on last season when questioned about Archie and overplaying him as he also had international duties, Farke said we will manage him properly and not over use him and then did exactly the opposite to what he said, he will pick mostly the same 11 at every opportunity , apart from being forced through injury and suspensions the same players will play every game, it's also the only reason the wingers have been mixed up recentlyCjay wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 8:04 pm You can't rotate minimum amount of players then complain they were lazy or tired or whatever.
We played 3 games in a week, he decided to keep basically the same players.
You always risk tiredness be it mental or physical.
Those were his choices.
He may be right in what he says but its his job to manage nnage the squad so that doesn't happen.

Forget about plan A
Forget about plan B
We only lost to the penalty.
Forget about the subs
Be it one two or three
We only lost to the penalty.
Forget about the defense
Forget about the attack
we lost to a penalty at the back
Forget about Bielsa
Forget about the Don
Penalty score... game is won
Say it's Farke's fault
It's his style of play
When a penalty wins the day.
Shout at the Referee
At the mouth foam
Feel penalised on the way home

I think what Farke would have learned yesterday, is that his squad of players just aren't good enough for rotating, especially if he's going to try and rotate the 3 behind with the worst No.9 (out of the 3 No.9's he has) for playing his preferred 4231.Lufc76Cor wrote: ↑Sat Nov 30, 2024 10:40 pm Early on last season when questioned about Archie and overplaying him as he also had international duties, Farke said we will manage him properly and not over use him and then did exactly the opposite to what he said, he will pick mostly the same 11 at every opportunity , apart from being forced through injury and suspensions the same players will play every game, it's also the only reason the wingers have been mixed up recently
You're already hindering the 3 behind if you play Piroe as the spearhead, throw into the mix no recognised No.10 and 2 rotations, and you're asking for trouble.
He should have learned from yesterday that 1 rotation is enough for the time being, and that 1 rotation yesterday should've been Aaronson rested.
And in hindsight - Joseph or Bamford starting.
Joseph
Soloman Gnonto James
Would have worked better yesterday.
With options of Piroe, Largie, Aaronson and Bamford from the bench

Our fans wanted rotation & Piroe starting & this is what we get, especially against low block teams. The Piroe/Joseph situation is a conundrum.Stonecoldwhite wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:14 am I think what Farke would have learned yesterday, is that his squad of players just aren't good enough for rotating, especially if he's going to try and rotate the 3 behind, with the worst No.9 out of the 3 No.9's he has for playing his preferred 4231.

I can see Farke resorting to Bamford as a starter, just as was the case last season.

Every time Piroe starts, everyone is left hoping things go well, they usually don't.1964white wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:26 am Our fans wanted rotation & Piroe starting & this is what we get, especially against low block teams. The Piroe/Joseph situation is a conundrum.

The 'front 4' if you will, start to look very very incoherent and just don't seem to gel at all, as what happened yesterday there's a complete lack of understanding between them all, Piroes lackadaisical approach tends to cause this along with his non-reading of the game/play, he becomes a liability, then all breaks down going forward, we currently rely on the 3 behind to carry him, disturb them too much and you get the kind of display yesterday.
I'll be very surprised if Piroe isn't benched for the next game, being at home might keep him in.

I've said all season, Piroe is more efficient coming on off the bench, he has more space & playing against tired legs helps his game.
Unfortunately, Farke & his fans on here can't see it.

I don't think so, it's his go to if losing. Try to create overload or chaos but I think balance goes out of the window and players are unsure of their jobs so it all gets messy and the chances, most of the time, dry up.

We still lost however they scored. Poor management, no rotation, poor finishing because the board and manager have not addressed the fact we need a real number 9

With how DF sets up the team in style i would only play Piroe at home matches when we are more attacked minded and get the ball in the box more often. For away days we need more Pace

Completely fed up of watching the same game/performance away from home.
Sort it out Farke or we won't be going up and it will be another round of player sales in the summer.

Four times now on the road that we've failed to score and Piroe has started every one of them. Some posters seem to think he played well yesterday but we need a striker who leads the line and drags the opposition defence deeper not someone coming 20 yards short to feet all the time.

We feel aggrieved, our lives have been penalised, we suffer a defeat, this should not happen to us, we were top of the league, Blackburn below us, we had the better and more expensive team.
It is an unrealistic expectation to expect your team to win every game, and the communal meltdown after the game reminds me of the Democrats loosing the election... the response far outways the result.
Bielsa lost games, the Don lost games, Farke has lost 3 games, Pep has lost 5.
Fans need to get a grip of themselves, far worse things are happening... like Starmer still in power.

I think we have a serious 8 and 10 problem, that's leading to an issue at 9. We're not creating enough and we're not creating quickly enough. We seem to let the defence settle
This, for me, sums Farke up - First half, someone wins FK mid way into enemy territory. Those positions we've conceded from this season or at least allowed a chance or half chance.
But we turned round, played it backwards and it ended up with the keeper... That's pure anti football there and it can only come from one person.

Agree Pjm, someone needs to occupy the opposition CBs. Average championship defenders are having a comfortable game without any pressure on them.

Bamford is'nt the answer, absolutely dreadful for a man wanting ti be a regular starter, then again, who is the main striker that gets hardly any service, if we stopped pussy footing about with 300 passes and actually put the ball in the danger zones more often, the striker might get more ammunition to fire.

Wouldn't say played well but he was one of the better performers and was one of the few players prepared to take a risk with a first time pass in behind.Jammy 07 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 11:51 am Four times now on the road that we've failed to score and Piroe has started every one of them. If he doesn't come deep yesterday we go side to side even more because the attacking trio behind him made a grand total of 9 passes into the final 3rd all game.
He had literally 0 service.
In a list of players and people to blame yesterday JP was imo very near the bottom.
