Lots of Leeds players are being targeted to move who are we looking at coming in?
We look to be having another 4 players ( after Gray) who are classed as our starting 11 that other clubs want/will be buying. Who are we looking to bring in, not seeing many names

We're just a month away aren't we? I think we're waiting to see who goes as we're a need to sell first club right now. Not so much because of FFP but because you don't spend 15M on a winger like Clarke if you end up keeping your studs.
We do need RWB, a progressive/box to box centre mid, right now.
We're likely to see one of Gruev/Kamara leave. Summerville and Gnonto, Wober and Llorente. We seem to be happy to let Cresswell leave to as it was he that turned the French team down. WHEN that happens we'll need:
A right and left sided CB plus 2 wingers (I'd assume Aaronson covers one wing, We have James)
We will loan 2/3 players and that will be late I think, but our loan success rate under Farke is around 25%

With the sales of Adams, Sinn, gray and Roca despite the incoming of Rodon i beleive we do have the ability to buy before we sell under FFP.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2024 9:44 am We're just a month away aren't we? We need to sell Gnonto for £20m+
We need to sell Llorente fpr £4m+, cannot understand reports that we will only loan him out. He is on high wages
We need to keep both Gruev &Kamara
We need to keep Wober

The exit door seems a lot more active than the entrance door.
Status of Rasmus and Wober could do with being clarified.

So do I, that wasn't my point. My point is, outside of RB to replace Gray/Roberts, we don't yet know where to spend that moneypjm2019 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2024 1:50 pm With the sales of Adams, Sinn, gray and Roca despite the incoming of Rodon i beleive we do have the ability to buy before we sell under FFP.

Personally I'd keep Gnonto, he's a top 3 forward in the division. Llorente will go but has no effect on future planning atm. Gruev, Kamara and Ampadu are all basically holding mids. But it looks like Kamara maybe halfway out of the door
Wober, atm is behind Struijk. I'd be inclined to keep Struijk as he our Captain (very good one) and is part of the team. Wober ran for the hills first chance he could. I'd not trust Wober to not do that again. I'd sell him

Our main 2 priorities in my opinion;
Offensive central midfielder who will weigh in with his share of goals and who is not afraid to take a strike at goal ( if one exists outside of the premiership)
A clear plan to start the season on the main striker role

No, no, no - DF was v v v late to that loan party, please don't skew things i get very offended.
The fact was, he had barely anytime at all to get players in, or indeed the time to find who was available, what the LUFC squad of shite was short of, or which shower of shite he could indeed use.
Please give the man some credit, i get totally offended by any abuse he receives.
He is only now going into his first full year with his eyes fully open on ALL things Leeds.

It is my belief that we will have a tight wage structure this season, we are not financially out of the woods. Keeping a grip on salaries means players he doesn’t want out before he gets players in.
As well as the obvious - Getting Bamford and Firpo out the door will help, but easier said than done.

It would be a good move to get Bamford out and save £70k a week in wages but I suspect that he is happy sitting on the bench or his settee at home and pocketing the money.

He'll be on around 35K maybe less according to the Athletic. 50-60 % cut in wages when we came down.Tom the Cat wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 7:58 am It would be a good move to get Bamford out and save £70k a week in wages but I suspect that he is happy sitting on the bench or his settee at home and pocketing the money.

It is difficult to understand who is on what exactly salary wise. But it is no secret that he is one of our highest earners. The point at hand is does a player on a comparatively high salary, not just within the club but in this league justify the wage with their output.Tom the Cat wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 7:58 am It would be a good move to get Bamford out and save £70k a week in wages but I suspect that he is happy sitting on the bench or his settee at home and pocketing the money.
Bamford has not justified his wage for at least 3 years as far as I am concerned. The same applies to Firpo, who despite being decent for a few months last season, when you consider his contribution for the time he has been at the club - 3 years - has he justified that salary. There were better left backs and forwards in the Championship last season who probably earn 50% less.
Now some will say you have this problem at every club, which is true - this is the balancing act that those in charge and the decision makers have to account for. It is now a question of economics and that topic escalates from important to crucial when money is tight.
We have to maximise what we get from every pound spent. Punts are not a viable option right now - we do not have the fiscal wriggle room. The punts in this scenario are that Bamford regains his form and remains largely injury free. Likelihood for me is low.
Firpo maintains his form from last season for the whole of this season to justify letting him go on a free. Perhaps justifiable for some. But not for me, we can get better than what both of those provide, based on the evidence and reduce the wage bill.
Keeping them is a punt. But trying to find them new clubs is a difficult task.
So is replacing them - but if the ducks are in a row - it is a no brainer for me.
