I'd be looking to extend ... one of our better players at this level. Would be very tough to replace. Best left foot at the club, seldom wastes a pass

Re: Junior Firpo poll
^^ a good attacking asset and he’s getting better as a defender at this level

He could be useful to develop as a set piece specialist.

Had we gone up my answer might have been different, but we need to keep him. He's an excellent Championship player.
The back four are really the only part of the squad that looks at all settled, assuming we keep Ampadu and Firpo.

Junior developed a good understanding with Summerville down the left flank & put in some great crosses, two or three for Bamford's goals.
Keep Junior, and we can continue to sing one of the best new Leeds songs in a while.

Re: Junior Firpo poll
One good season doesn't make a player. He has been very good for large parts this season in an attacking sense but i think there is better out there defensively. I don't think he justifies his wages personally. It took you a while Junior but we got to see glimpses why Barca gave you a chance and then why you ended up at Leeds.

Ferking get him off the wage bill.

Re: Junior Firpo poll
Would be fine if he stayed. Excellent going forward and seems to have a cool head when it comes to the final ball. Defensively improving. My concern would be that he has a loan clause in his contract so he leaves and we get nothing.

Great second half to his season but into last 12 months, last chance to recoup any of the £13m he cost, high wages, sell.

Def keep. Solid LB in this division and great going forward.
Questions over his contract. One year left.

Stays unless we get a decent offer which is too good to turn down.
Much maligned but probably our best player since his return from injury on 1st January.

Looked ... Byram out of contact, Rodon end of loan. Fair chance neither of those come back and Amps needs to play DMF ...John in Louisiana wrote: ↑Mon May 27, 2024 12:46 pm Had we gone up my answer might have been different, but we need to keep him. He's an excellent Championship player.

Re: Junior Firpo poll
Will be injured again soon, okay at this level but surely we could do better for the wages he must be on.
Re: Junior Firpo poll
If we had have got promoted i would have voted for Junior to be moved on as he clearly was not good enough defensively at Premier level. In the Championship however he has enjoyed a good season, providing an attacking option, and several assists. Also he is mostly able to cope defensively, so i would definately retain him for next term.
