Muppet the Cat wrote: Tue May 21, 2024 6:45 pm Well Foxy, I forgot to check on Sunday............however, yesterday across 5 meetings and 33 races the results were as follows, all on the basis of £5 ew on the #1 horse (noting there were a couple of #1 NR's):

Carlisle: £50 stake - +£6.26
Redcar: £80 stake - +£15.01
Roscommon: £70 stake - +£35.22
Newton Abbot: £60 stake - -£25.16
Windsor: £70 stake - -£59.37

So altogether £28.04 down................but the undoubted scientific conclusion that can be drawn from this one day sample is that the theory is clearly evidenced in Ireland and north of Watford in the UK !!!!

......and any #2 in the post would clearly be marked return to sender !
Impressive work Cat 👍🏼
So when do we start putting the wedge on this stone cold certainty 😁

My last two winners:
Cat Ninja swished his tail like a propeller from start to finish.

Patronage raced with his head turned to one side for the whole of his race.

What do you assume from those tendancies?

Awkward head carriage & tail swishing has often been thought of as a sign of a questionable attitude however if I had a midget on my back whipping me I might do the same.
I’m sure that’ll attract a few perverted comments 😉

Don't bet proper £££......other than the obligatory GN flutter etc and the odd 6 results on the football (and then it's only a couple of quid).

Wasn't a chap down your way somewhere (might have been Essex way) banned from his local betting shops a few years ago, for betting on the 1, 2 or 3 horse having worked out they win 70/80% of all races........I could be dreaming that/making it up though :duno:

Foxy, if you had at Southwell today:

7 races at £5 ew =£70.00, but three #1 NR's , so a £40.00 stake

would have collected you £247.51......so a +£200.00 profit !!!

I'm telling you there's something in it :)

150/1 2nd was £200 of that.
The main problem with the theory is which meeting do you choose. Ok to pinpoint it afterwards but it has to be across all cards for a true picture.
You referenced a betting shop that banned a punter for backing number one but most people bet online now so why don’t they all sit at home backing number one 🤔
I remain completely unconvinced 😁

Interesting, you could be dangerous, especially on a Saturday.

I notice the 150/1 2nd in a six horse race was the profit booster.

Dangerous if he picks the correct meeting and horse.
Unless we are letting him do a “Dorothy Paget”.
That was the lady that the original William Hill allowed to bet after racing was finished.
She never backed number one 😂
