Is the Premier League getting worse?

The average needed for 4th has been 71-72points.

Villa only got 68.

Average needed for survival is 36 points.

Forest only got 32.

Yes there are new proposals on the table for next season but nothing agreed yet and limiting the budget to 5x the club with the lowest income would still give the big boys around £600M to spend each season.

Scum in decline. Did they even make the third tier of a Euro trash competition?

It's getting more and more predictable, rather boring really . I , like many on here , can go back to days even in formative years of PL when clubs had a hope if an achievement rather than staying there , mid to lower table so as to do the same next season . Remember the 70's and before , you might get a surprise team or two , up and coming sides....Derby ,QPR and such, a good FA cup run , a run in Europe....when CHAMPIONS were in the European Cup . It's all to dull and samey now . This season has despite the power division, been far more interesting than the dull play to survive relegation fodder football of the previous two seasons , because when you are struggling, the first response is shore up the defence , defend at all costs , get in that sort of manager for such tactics...or go for a complete novice out of their depth fool ( Marsche ) .
What was the question again 😲 . No , it's boring now . Need a different winner , another different club in top 4 ( as long as it's not Ipscum )

How many clubs outside the Top 8 of the PL have a 50,000 plus capacity stadiums ?

Big boys are big for a reason and the new stadiums at Arsenal & Tottenham weren't built by sportwashing oil money so we have to do the same if we want to be one of them.

I know Citeh won again because of cheating on the financials but at least it will piss off the dirty scummers and has superceded the Dog Bothers top league three in a row.

Interesting list of potential targets from Matt Law (Chelsea Phil Hay)

But Chelsea are expected to go for a younger and, in their view, more progressive coach with Stuttgart’s Sebastian Hoeness, Girona’s Michel, Ipswich Town’s Kieran McKenna, who has been targeted by Brighton, and Leicester City’s Enzo Maresca all likely to be among the names under consideration.

Brentford’s Thomas Frank is another manager Chelsea will have on their list of candidates

Season hasn't even ended yet and 3 of the top 4 in the Championship are in danger of losing the manager.

Martin and Mckenna linked to Brighton.

Maresca and Martin linked to Chelsea

I think it's just that several big clubs under performed. Chelsea, Scum, Tottenham, and Newcastle would all have expected to have got 68 points.

Bottom 3 were truly awful this season. Forest had the point deduction. So the bottom 3 were really oceans apart from the rest of the league. Leicester, Leeds, and Southampton were better than this year's relegated side.

Really surprised at Pochettino leaving. They had a bad start to the season. That was somewhat understandable given the huge squad. He had a big job to do in establishing a key group of players and creating a team culture and chemistry that was seriously lacking.

Second half he really turned it around. Making the top 6, a final, and a semi final looks decent in hindsight. And he's managed to find a starting 11 that works well together. I was especially pleased to see the young English players establishing themselves. Palmer, Madueke, Gallagher. As well as the likes of James and Colwill.

I think Poch did well in the end. It makes it surprising because they look ready certain to improve next season. Maybe there are internal disputes. Maybe he's losing some of his home grown youngsters to balance FFP. And that just peed him off.
