Not sure who Hold Steady are....but have a great time. I went to Camden in the 80's to the Camden Palace night clubwhen it was owned by Steve Strange. Those were the days.
They were, Camden the home of the London music scene still. I'm at the Electric Ballroom ... not been there before, but Sara says it's fine

Such a shame young girls have to resort to f-ing and Jeffing, whats that all about really :mshr:
There's absolutely nothing endearing about a woman swearing, Amy & Adele, great singers, but really.

It was wasn't it. The orchestra and choir helped make the atmosphere I think.

I don't like to hear it on stage or in songs to be honest. No need for it really.

No issue with women swearing.. Amy's "f**k Me Pumps" is nearly her at her best

Only time I swear is watching United on telly, not at ground nor in a pub with my mates, your forgiven for that swannie.
Agree the orchestra makes many concerts, seen many in my time, including the RAH for LNATP

That’s good 👍🏼

Just watched her Brit Awards performance, loved it. Not sure criticism of her Kate Bush cover is warranted though as the version I seen was for the Live Lounge and I thought she did ok. Never easy covering an iconic track like that but that’s what the Live Lounge is all about.

If you loved the Brits performance then you'd love the Albert Hall concert I think. Great orchestra and choir as backing. It should be available on i.player....

Ps she does swear quite a bit....

I was in London in the late 80’s & used to go to Camden Palace, what a culture shock coming from Northern Ireland, couldn’t believe my eyes at some of the sights. 👁️👁️ My flatmate at the time told me years later that we were at a Prince gig there but I haven’t a Scooby as I can’t remember and probably wouldn’t have known who he was anyway.

Wrong thread. Came here thinking it was the film where Jamie Fox plays that blind musician.

Raye performed at Bridlington Spa last Tuesday to a sold-out audience, Swannie.
