As we had 2 goal keepers on the bench last Saturday i assume Anthony was injured
Leeds need a great summer 2026 with outgoings and incoming players

My walking football mate went for a private scan in Leeds on a leg injury last week and Pat Bamford was in the waiting room.
So makes you wonder how long he will be out this time?.
It might be kinder to send him on a one-way trip to the vets.

Was a strong whisper in the summer Paddy basically has a permanent injury.Prisoner37 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 5:41 am My walking football mate went for a private scan in Leeds on a leg injury last week and Pat Bamford was in the waiting room.

Like Ledley King for example had.
Something that never goes away and can flare up at any time.
Hence why he disappears for seemingly no reason and gets injured without explanation.
Also makes selling him practically impossible as it shows up on any medical.
Just a whisper but it's logical.

That sounds like a plausible explanation Cjay, that the club is keeping quiet on.Cjay wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2024 2:15 pm Was a strong whisper in the summer Paddy basically has a permanent injury.

If it is so, then fingers crossed that Joseph stays fit.

Patrick Bamford will always have a huge credit in my book for being part of the team that took us out of the Wilderness. I do think now that whilst he remains on contract and on the books it is a case of diminishing returns as even when he does make it onto the pitch after continuous long periods of absences he is so far off match fitness and so rusty to be not fit for purpose to be perfectly blunt.
Sadly, he has had his day as a first teamer and it really is time to move on

For me he can't be counted as a reliable squad player atm. If we get good moments off the bench from him it's a bonus.PhoenixUnited wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 8:52 am Patrick Bamford will always have a huge credit in my book for being part of the team that took us out of the Wilderness. There comes a time for every player where they are in the Last Chance Saloon. Football is a tough and ultra competitive game and when you consider that his last goal was in Leeds' 2–1 defeat away to Aston Villa on 13 January 2023, coming off the bench. he was making an appearance for the first time since groin surgery in October 2022, to score Leeds' only goal of the game. This was his 100th career goal and his first in any competition since December 2021.The Subhuman wrote: ↑Fri Sep 13, 2024 11:25 am For me he can't be counted as a reliable squad player atm. In the 4-3 win? Yes he did. Also scored 3 in 4 quite late in the season, in games v Sheff Wed, Huddersfield and Leicester. My point is we can't rely on him to be available for more than 50% of the season.... not what he might give us off the bench or as a replacement for Joseph should the worst happen

Have we had any recent updates on Dan James or Solomon? Farke doesn’t sound very positive on gruev, knee issue so that could be him gone for a couple months as well.

James hopefully back after the international break. Solomon I think will be in and out all season, very good player but maybe safer off the bench as Rama is playing well
