How about we go around again but allow the non winners a second chance...

I was confused when I initially read your post, I'm with you now.

Seems fine to me, what do others think?

Took me a few moments to understand it, Sara

Dark Side Of The Moon & For Your Pleasure won the '73 polls so those albums would be ineligible to nominate.

Other previous nominations from the said year would be allowed.

That'll just be like the first time round minus the winner. Most peoples nominations and top 5 are already known.
It would only need a new entry for whoever picked the winner ,and a new fifth choice for those that had it in top 5.
Only thing that would make it any different is getting new people choosing new albums and others voting for them.
Not sure it would be much different from first time,. That's my tuppence worth anyway.

Some good points made & you could be right, Madron, although we've had quite a few new members join in the polls who I don't think none played in Round 1 & the majority of the Round 2 polls.

Unsure without checking back how many polls Airedale, Cussie Marie, Rook, Shaun, Sniffer & your good self have participated in! Also, I don't recall one of our older members, Bob Hirst involved too much.

Only joined a few months ago so probably not too many Leon, Madron made a good point though, I’m happy to join in whatever happens.

I only took part in 2 years recently as they came inside my 'comfort zone' . Not sure I could take part every year (60's and recent years), but ,like you say, it would need quite a few new participants to alleviate any 'deja vu' for those who have already been through if from the start, You could already fill in a lot of the blanks by looking at previous voting.

I'm most likely to look for a different nomination where possible, though if some of my preferred albums are nominated again, my higher votes would go to those albums.

I'll be honest, I wouldn't be interested in a 3rd go. I think it's run its course now and we should do something different. Maybe songs or films of the year?

How often does that happen?

Got bored with the Khruangbin album, I prefer vocal albums.

Congratulations Cat, you were due a winner.
