Has all the hallmarks of a "we tried really hard honest lads" statement from Kinnear after Piroe signs for Luton
But we are pushing to sign the 24 year old Dutch Swansea striker.
Has 46 goals and 8 assists in his time in Wales, including 41 Championship goals.
He is known for his intelligent movement and link play as well as his technical ability.
Despite his size he isn't a traditional target man but possibly closer to a Bergkamp than a Weghorst.
Such a cynic you are! (but it's warranted).
Leeds "pushing" is the key word here. We'll push, take a breath, push a bit more, and then another breather. They may well surprise us yet tho.

Will link up well with Buonanotte.
I still believe!!!!!!!
Tbf that came from a seemingly reliable source, someone who seems to know him personally and was then backed up by a more established Argentina journalist.

Strange
You’ve led me down the garden path too many times. Enrique, Buonanotte, Piroe. I believed them all.
Looking at the Piroe video, very much has the BamBams about his play ... touch, left foot, placement of shots, movement, flicks
Before you jump on the anti-Bamford bandwagon, go look at prime Bamford when he was fit and scoring goals, quality player ... he still has a lot to offer, class is permanent
Piroe would be an excellent addition, just the sort of player to fit into Farke's team ... Swansea being utter cnuts again though
Piroe would be the best option up front for me, a proven goalscorer at Championship level and continuing to improve.
Can we sign him? Not a prayer in my view we will either get out bid by a Premier league team, or Leicester or Southampton who have the money to spend after selling some big assets. I suspect we will end up with someone like the Norwich lad. We are also losing out on the midfielders we want such as Hammer, and will end up with someone no one else seems to want such as Kamara.
Unless 49s stump up some big money, we will have to wait till we can cash in on the loanees next Summer before we can move in for a higher level player.

“I agree that Piroe is looking more than a little lost at the moment, but I think that is more down to us not having an attacking midfielder who can get the ball and then play it to feet for Piroe rather than him trying to take down balls in the air which we all know is not his strength”.

The above from a Swans fans forum.
Replace Piroe with Rutter in the above quote and all becomes clearer
