Difficult round this.
But based purely on the voice, the range, the control, the ability to sing different genres.
Adam Lambert.
His voice is incredible.

Re: Best Male Vocalist Round 15
Had the fortune to see Springsteen at both his Hyde park dates, 73 and still smashing out 3 hour sets without a break and sounding on top form from first minute to last.
Re: Best Male Vocalist Round 15
I will abstain here I reckon the toss (boss) is the most overrated singer ever. The worst thing about Xmas time is his version of Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.

Re: Best Male Vocalist Round 15
Me neither.... his voice is just sooooooo monotonous.... gives Cave, Cohen and Morrisey a good run for the mogodon award....

Re: Best Male Vocalist Round 14
Jeff Healy, best of a poor bunch

Re: Best Male Vocalist Round 14
Has to be Freddie - absolute legend. Queen was the first band I saw live at ER in 1977.
Jeff Healy a hotel lobby singer. I would break whatever sound system I was listening to if I had his music playing on loop, same as Morrisey, who to me always sounds like a pissed poor man’s working club crooner.
Ed’s quality and the worldwide figures and accolades back it up.

Leonard Cohen - how is he a vocalist.
Re: Best Male Vocalist Round 15
I don’t know how half of the nominee’s are actually vocalists. I notice no one selected Michael
MacDonald in the whole shabang. Now there is a dude who could carry a tune.
WTF nominated Leonard Cohen, I fart better melodies

Re: Best Male Vocalist Round 15
Agree one of only a few vocalists who could attempt to wear Freddie’s shoes. I remember watching him on American Idol and wondered how he came second.
I did write artist initially, but he isn’t a song creator writer - which makes a huge difference to me.
