As 64 mentioned above, Mountain most of the nominated albums were unknown to him. The same applies to me, other than the 3 or 4 I know I’d never listened to (or in some cases ever even heard of) any the others before. I’d guess that applies to most of use, perhaps other than faaip and Durly :duno:

One thing that this thread does is push you into listening into stuff you probably otherwise wouldn’t. So I always try and listen to (at the very least dip into) all the nominated albums. Some I think are good, some I’m indifferent to and others are defo not for me……but until you try you never know :)

I only had to listen to 3, yours, Mountains and onemores.. I'm not an SVE or Black Keys fan, Frazey Ford I've had all her albums on playlists since being nudged there by Sara after we were discussing the BGT a while back. The Alt J I never really pushed on from. The debut stunning, really wanted to like the follow up but it just faded very quickly... First heard Grouper years ago with excellent Dragging a Dead Deer Up A Hill... dipped in and out since. Shelllac was my AOTY back in 14 at the time, probably slipped a bit tbf but still very good.

No problem Mountain, just vote for that one, if you haven't the time to listen to the others.

One more point on the scoreboard for your nomination  I enjoyed it.

Oh true, in recent votes I found an album by Manuel Göttsching and by the Dead Texan, both new to me, both great.

The last few weeks have been hectic. In the middle of moving into a new office premises so have tons of files and paperwork to sift through and declutter, shred, haul filing cabinet after filing cabinet, so haven't even been able to catch up on the other nominations etc. Not fun. On the other hand, a real "First World Problem" so can't really moan.

Queen - A Night At The Opera

Classic album, and their best imo.

Full of great tunes, I played this to death at the time.

Prophet's Song and Bohemian Rhapsody are amazing, but there's a rich variety of material on this album
