Leeds head down to the Black Country on Friday evening looking for their first back to back win of the season, but only if they can overcome Wolves at Molineux. The two sides shared the spoils at Elland Road earlier in the season thanks to a last gasp spot kick from Rodrigo after Joe Gelhardt was upended in the penalty area. Almost five months on, both teams find themselves at different ends of the table. Whilst Leeds have struggled defensively to keep the opposition out, Bruno Lage's team have only conceded 23 goals all season, almost three times less than Leeds! Their biggest problem has been scoring goals. In fact, Leeds have scored two more goals than Wolves (31) this season.

Wolves will be without the services of Nelson Semedo and Ki-Jana Hoever, whilst Hwang Hee-chan and Pedro Neto are both recovering from knocks, and are doubtful. Patrick Bamford should lead the line for the Whites. The 28 year old has 75 minutes of game time under his belt from the last couple of matches. He was substituted at half-time against Norwich on Sunday, purely as a precaution as he continues on the road to full fitness. Rodrigo has recovered from his tight quad, and should be available for selection. Joe Gelhardt will be hoping to start, following his last minute heroics last weekend, though it's more likely to see the youngster in the second half.





Liam Cooper and Kalvin Phillips are avaialbe for selection following hamstring injuries, though given how long both have been out for will only make the bench. It's a big boost for Jesse Marsch who unlike Bielsa has something close to a full squad to pick from. Leo Hjelde, Tyler Roberts and Junior Firpo are all ruled out through injury. The rumours of a positive Covid test for Raphinha are true and he will miss out.

Leeds have failed to win any of their past nine top-flight matches at Molineux, a run dating back to September 1973, and have lost the last five in a row. After ending a run of six straight defeats by beating Norwich, Leeds are aiming to win consecutive league fixtures for only the second time this season. They have lost their previous three league away games by an aggregate score of 0-10. The Whites last lost four consecutive away league matches without scoring in February 1927. Leeds have not kept a clean sheet in 15 league matches, the longest current sequence in the top flight. It is their worst run since they went 17 fixtures without a shut-out between October 2004 and January 2005.

Hope after the break we have coops n KP back. A point will be great a win would be massive but wolves are stingey so unless every cylinder is firing goals will be hard to get. They aren't prolific scorers either so a 0-0 is on the cards which I'd take right now.

I'd happily take a 0-0 or other score draw. 1 point away at Wolves keeps us on track.

This game does intrigue me though. For all their league position, Wolves are just not a great team; workmanlike and industrial for sure. But I think we can get something out of it if we play to our ability, especially given how unlucky we have been in our previous PL games.

Also fully expecting Jimenez to spend much of the game on the deck, diving and complaining. Hope we have a strong ref.

Don't know what to make of Wolves.

Any time I've watched them can't see much difference between Nuno and now.

Well organised, defensive, very dull but hard to break down.

Had a look at the possession stats though and they are mid table so they must be different from under Nuno at some point?

Strange team but clearly got something about them, won't be easy.

Since promotion though they have had all the luck vs us, multiple deflected goals to get undeserved points.

Exactly. Keep the team that started against Norwich, no need to disrupt and the spirit and confidence will be a little higher than previously.
Great news they have players out but Jiminez needs 'looking after' .....we all know he likes likes to eat the grass a bit !
