Very lucky, I don’t know how VAR left it go balances out some of the soft penalties against us
I realised I was dyslexic when I went to a toga party dressed as a goat..

Still think Pablo needs to be in that team though

Should be 10dezzy wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 8:10 pm What a fantastic result and performance. We made a pretty decent Newcastle side look clueless. It all could’ve been so different though Struijk has to come in to add a bit more presence defending set pieces. Harrison’s assist and goal were top class, hopefully that gives him some confidence, Bamford getting his 9th in 13 premiership games is something I never thought we’d see fair play to him

If Pablo starts then someone has to sit and that would either have to be Rodrigo or Bamford and right now you can't drop either

Alioski's goal made up for him being at fault for their first goal. Otherwise he wasn't great.

I am content with Pablo coming on late on to influence a game. If you call the pass to Harrison a assist? He got 2 in that game. I actually thought Raph had made the wrong decision giving the ball to the right, that was until i knew it was Pablo. When he's on it he seems like he slows the game down with his composure.
Great to see Pablo back out and involved.

We were 3-2 up I think when Pablo came on, so they were pushing forwards a lot more, which gave him plenty of space in which to create.
I’m a big fan but wouldn’t start him yet, I just think he needs to be an impact sub atm.
Plus Rodrigo had his best overall game in his position.

I thought we looked stronger with Struijk at CB over Cooper. MB has to realise we need to change something rather than relying on favourites.

Re: Leeds v Newcastle Match Thread - Unchanged starting XI to face Magpies
That was long overdue!! We utterly deserved that and probably more. But let’s be honest who saw it coming when they made it 2-2?
As usual we controlled this so well we made them look an average Championship team. But they still kept us at arms length for much of the game. Just heard that they have only conceded 3 goals before tonight away from home!! When the play slows down we struggle to open the likes of them. When we move at speed and open the play we look like Brazil.
This showing tonight makes it critical that we sort ourselves out in defence for set pieces. Conceding to the likes of Newcastle on a basic corner is so frustrating and unnecessary. If we can manage that then we will move on up this table and stop looking at what’s going on behind us.
Delighted for Pablo - so measured and in control from the moment he arrived. For Alioski’s goal he knew the right ball to play when he could have taken the shot himself. So unselfish and correct in his play - genius!

Offensively brilliant, defensively it's always a worry (and Cooper is very lucky his clumsy challenge wasnt given as a pen).
Harrison showed real class twice, probably what makes him so frustrating. He is capable of great things its just rare.
Raph and Rodders add real quality, Raph deserved a goal, Rodders header was quality.
Ali and Dallas both did there bit by scoring.
KP should hang his head in shame for that corner and Ayling is weak as piss in the air.
Great attacking performance but another 2 goals conceded, the defence is a Championship defence and it does show.
But our attacking performance was brilliant.
Pablo is still a cool head when it matters.

In agreement. Showed tonight what he could have offered last week.YorkshireSquare wrote: ↑Wed Dec 16, 2020 8:16 pm I dont think he should start unless we need to unlock a defence, and I really felt we needed that against West Ham last week

But it’s good to see him back on the park, no excuse to leave him on the bench now when ha can make a difference.
Re: Leeds v Newcastle Match Thread - Unchanged starting XI to face Magpies
I have to say until Koch comes back, i don't think we have the personnel to change it at the back. Struijk is the only option other than the u23's but it would seem that MB see's him as a DM. If Coops got injured i wouldn't be surprised to see Phillips move back in there.
There was no excuse for Ayling. The corner wasn't whipped in, it was glided in, he had plenty of sight on the ball and still didn't seem to make a effort to get there. Maybe a sports psychologist? They all look scared to death to defend corners. Big test past tonight tho. Another 3 points to safety.

Still confused by KP's corner.
What was he trying to do?
4th goal was great to see, 4,5 on 2.
