We were in it for the Sunderland game, my a**e is still sore from the wooden seats. A new era and we can only hope the new stand does it proud.

The West Stand has hardly changed since I started watching Leeds 62 years ago.

Changes are clearly evident with the other three stands.

Watched us lose to City in the West Stand, back before they were good. Sat next to my then brother-in-law who was a city fan. Think Dickov got the winner and m b-i-l started to celebrate. Was tempted to put the first punch in!

I'd take anything, a brick, a window, a wooden seat, a plastic seat.....even a shower tap from the dressing room. Which reminds me, I met the groundsman in the 80's, he decided to show me round the West stand. Into the changing rooms we went to find Chris Kamaras bare backside staring at me. What a moment. My Leeds United claim to fame!

I understand the sentiments but this is clearly long overdue.
I, myself have never watched a game from the West stand, it was always the kop for me apart from the last few when it was the East stand.

Maybe Leeds could auction off all the seats & bits & pieces for charity, Not sure I’d fancy paying the postage on a seat to Northern Ireland though.

I've been in the West Stand once, sat behind the dugout with Wilko going beserk at our players.

His sidekick Mick Hennigan was even worse.

The quietest stand in the stadium with minimum atsmosphere!

Yeah, building behind it at first but no doubt they will restep in and it will look nothing like it does today.

I’ve only once sat in the West Stand, against Brentford this year. I was struck behind the dugout with a view second to everyone else, and queued with a bursting bladder (cheers Cussie) for the one toilet for the entire section, same door out as in. Knock the fecker down, no tears from me.

I remember sitting in the old West Stand before the fire. Watched the 3rd round FA Cup tie v Cardiff City when we lost 1-2.

We were very fortunate to be sitting in the Norman Hunter Suite which is located in the West Stand for Sunday's game and it was quite an emotional occasion. Norman's family were there along with many many legends and people associated with Leeds United over the years.

Lot's of speeches but the icing on the cake was when Daniel Farke came up to say a few words.
