Not a fan of this referee's style and he didn't get too much wrong but somehow I still thought he was poor.

I think he only booked 1 player, rutter, and that was because he had a shot on goal, albeit after the whistle had gone, should have at least booked 2 of theirs, bannan for certain, thought the linesman in front of east stand was poor as well.

There is nothing more frustrating for fans than having to endure constant time wasting by the opposition when your team is completely on top, but I’m afraid most referees do not appreciate this sentiment and do very little to curb it. Our referee for the Wednesday match was one of the worst culprits in this regard. He did very little to stop SW wasting time continually throughout, and then, despite this seasons directive from the football league, allowed only 4 minutes added time at the end, most of which was taken up SW wasting time, but still blew up on exactly 4 minutes.

He let SW get away with quite a few heavy challenges, especially on Gnonto, but seemed to give free kicks against Gnonto for much lesser challenges.

We might have had a penalty too, Aorfa on Gnonto 2nd half, but there again, I’ve given up expecting to get any penalties because, as we know, another directive by the football league, but secret this time, is that the benefit of the doubt will always be given to any team other than Leeds United.

Not great 4/10.

Chris Kavanagh is VAR at Scum today and has just cancelled a Scum goal. They're losing to Brighton 0 - 1

5/10

I was going to give him more, but his failure to give yellow cards was plain wrong, also seemed to be behind play a bit and his linesmen were dreadful.
I take it there are completely different rules from this league and the PL ?

Difficult one to rate this one because the referee missed so much of the blocking and fouling that Millwall were doing off the ball. However he can only see what he can see I guess and for the most part he got those decisions right.

6/10 which would have been higher if he had eyes in the back of his head.

Did the referee leave his yellow cards at home?

I counted 13 fouls & at least 4 that wasn't given.

Leonard was the chief culprit with four hefty challenges on Summerville & Gnonto.

How Emakhl wasn't booked for the challenge on Ampadu late on, god only knows! Hope Ethan is ok for the Hull game.

To be fair, Gnonto was fortunate not to receive a yellow card for his pull back foul.

Chris Kavanagh has already been demoted from the prem, at this rate, he'll be refereeing in League One soon.

I thought he was fair and consistent throughout. They could have had a few bookings and so could we, but I do not mind him keeping the cards in his pocket.
A strong 8 from me.

I know he could, and maybe should, have dished out a few yellows here and there, but I’m all for letting the game flow and getting on with it.

A decent 7 for me.

I see the argument for keeping the cards in the pocket and letting the game flow, but someone could get seriously hurt out there.

It’s a fine balance I suppose John, the ref can’t win in many ways, but personally I’m not for multiple stoppages in games with yellow cards dished out like sweets.

I do see where you are coming from though.
